  1. Who supplies Ghost bike locally? Yes, if you go on specs, I would say the Ghost.
  2. Looked at the Rocky Mountain 950 RSL as well... Beauty! Long story short... Settled for the Giant Anthem Advanced X1 29er...
  3. Guys, I know this topic has probably been discussed, but my specific scenarion / choice is the following. The price difference is small. If it was your 30k, which one would you take? 4. Stop shouting! And your threat of beginners surely made the "our average speed" -> "my average speed". You wanna join me on my 25km/h average ride rather? Wait, you're too slow. Enjoy!
  5. Not sure what bike that is... The XTC is not an Anthem. The XTC is a hardtail bike.
  6. I like that idea, but WHERE?!?!?!
  7. My shortlist: * Spez Epic 29er - aluminium, X9 mix, Roval wheels, Magura brakes, Fox shocks * Giant AnthemX 29er 1 Advanced – carbon, XT throughout, Rockshox shocks * Merida Big Ninetynine X0 carbon – carbon, X0 throughout, Rockshox shocks
  8. I have the exact same question at the moment.
  9. It was in Somerset West just below De Hoop primary.
  10. My Giant AnthemX0 29er was stolen this morning in Somerset West just below De Hoop primary school. Out of my car. Please keep an eye out for someone not wearing lycra and a helmet trying to sell this baby? Shimano XT/SLX mix Reba Front shock Monarch RT3 back shock ZTR Crest wheels Spez Control tyres KCNC cockpit. Picture below.
  11. Depends on the condition. If good, then the grouppo alone is worth that.
  12. Only twice?
  13. Agree with him, but you need to test it.
  14. Hi, I am 1.84, with the same inseam as you, and all calculators say I must have a 58. I currently ride a 55.5 with 10cm stem and 2cm back on my saddle, saddle height 75cm. It depends on your riding style / preference. I like to have my upper body low, but not stretch when I'm in the drops. Long answer short, you can definitely deviate.
  15. I reckon 24 hours is enough wait, at least for a confirmation.
  16. +1 I have bought probably 5+ items from them in the past ,and EVERYTIME, they were on time (or earlier) with the invoices and deliveries, and if there were issues, they sorted it out promptly. What a breath of fresh air!
  17. For the guy(s) that maintain G-spot and surrounds in Stellenbosch. Thanks dude. If you're a hubber(s), I would love to know who you are.
  18. HAHHAHAHAHHAHAA!!! Classic!
  19. Have bought new "authentic" Oakley sunglasses from him a couple of months back, only to find out that they are Fakeleys. He was full of excuses, but was quite happy to give me my money back after I mentioned The Hub. I tell you, The Hub works better that Hellopeter.com, which works very good!
  20. Thanks Keith, I will try them.
  21. As with most dual suspension frames, there is only one place for a bottle cage. So, I tried the seatpost cage attached to seapost with the KCNC bolts. I have tried quite a lot of different bottlecages, but none of them seem to be able to keep any bottles inside, they all bump out. I do use the smaller bottle. Any suggestion? The same cage holds the larger bottle easy in the front.
  22. Or do something very not responsible! https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/59976-new-simano-ultegra/
  23. The difference is weight only, the quality of the 2013 is probably better than the 2009 Ultegra IMHO. If it was mine, I would have kept the 105's on there.
  24. I had a Momsen 529 and was a fantastic bike! The 2013 models look wicked, but also getting a bit more expensive though. Still the best value for money if you look at the components.
