Apparentlyt if you did not get in in the PPA ballot, you automatically go into the general ballot. But don't take my word for it!

These guys at RocoMamas have got it so right! The one in Durban North is frikkin' awesome. They deserve to be rocking. Good product, great value and awesome vibe. Most amazing thing was they sponsored the CHoC 100 Mile Ride to Nowhere recently and gave every rider at Cadence Durban North a burger. Because they are pure beef with no binders and rubbish in them, even after an hour or so, they tasted just as good cold and had not gone all rubbery as most processed burgers do.

I started sneezing and coughing on Friday so did not ride Saturday. Took some Benylin on Sunday and went for a very easy 40km ride. Got home and wiped out on the bed for 8 hours! Got up to have hot bath, felt a bit dizzy. Next thing flat on the floor! Slept it off and feeling a bit better today. No riding for me for the week!

So now I have to wait until the end of the year. Was about to trade my 2013 Scultura EVO DA in for a 2015 Reacto.

Interesting story on how my dad got this watch. Some of you older guys may remember the Charcoal Haven Restaurant near South Beach in Durban. We owned that. Well, for a week, an out-of-town customer came in every night an would order a T-Bone steak and a beer. He always paid cash. Then, on the last night, when it came time to pay the bill, he realised he had forgotten his wallet at his hotel, so he left this watch and a massive solid silver bracelet as security while he walked back to the hotel to fetch it. We never saw him again! Back then, the bill for his meal would have been less than R10.00!

Finally! Was wondering when we were going to see these boys grace us with their presence.

I popped in to PPA yesterday on the way to the airport back to Durban yesterday to look at the new shirts. Very nice! Good quality and nice slim fit. Sizing is a bit on the small side (your will need to get 1 size up from your normal shirt size) but they look very cool. Bought 1 for each of the 5 of us in my morning training group. The yellow is not the same as the old 1.5m shorts. It is now a Lumo yello.

Quite a clever tweak to the old "Stay alive at 1.5" campaign given that the law in Cape Town is now only 1.0m gap. Think I might just buy one of these.

For when you tell your wife you're about to spend R100k on a new bike and she says, "iyour dreams"! n
