Haven't seen mention of it here but Get Shorty is an excellent series. Really well written and acted and cracks on at a decent pace. Well worth a watch.

You and Liverpool fans inhabit the same universe. Sometime in January there was a joking comment on a fan podcast along the lines of "the only thing that can stop us now is a global catastrophe'. I still haven't forgiven the guy for that comment...

The first one was epic, a brilliant game.

Go further back to MW2, I still feel the MP on there is better than the newer versions. You can maybe try MW Warzone, it's a little different to previous stuff but fun.

For some reason the premier league decided they did not want to enact that part of VAR. Not sure if they issued a rule or merely a guideline to that effect but either way it seems short sighted.

I personally asked them to remove that type of line in a meeting last year. My reasoning was that it gives a completely false impression of the funding as we see it. Looking at that it has been amended but still leaves lots of room for misunderstanding. I dug out the minutes of the meeting dated 26 March 2019 Here's the relevant bit - Matters Arising MS: The wording on the FAQ page for activity cards on the SANParks website is leading visitors to believe that TokaiMTB and the trails are funded via money garnered from activity card sales, specifically mentioned on the site are track maintenance and closing of illegal trails. TokaiMTB requests that any confusing or unclear wording be removed or changed as this is having an adverse effect on our ability to raise outside funding.

This in a nutshell. As mentioned the Wildcard does not allow you to cycle, for that you need a level 3 activity permit. A day pass is okay if you are on a one off visit but the annual permit makes a lot more financial sense if you are around all year round.

That's a threat with some teeth

Two ladies riding towards Tokai, one was dragged off her bike just after the intersection of Tokai & Zwaanswyk roads by two perpetrators.One hopped on the bike and gapped it leaving his buddy behind. Another rider followed the stolen bike. In the meantime Tokaimtb, Premier Security, SANParks and local security started searching for the bike. The rider that had followed the stolen bike eventually pushed the perpetrator off the bike, leaving him to run off towards Westlake. Premier Security and SANParks effected an arrest of the remaining perpetrator and the bike was returned to the owner. One guy still on the loose. It should be pointed out that numerous attempts were made to call Kistenhof police, they simply did not answer their phone. Basically riders, security companies and Tokaimtb got together and the whole thing was dealt with in six minutes. No thanks to the police...

Bike recovered, one suspect arrested. One suspect escaped towards Westlake.

Great weekend. Liverpool extend their lead, both sets of Mancs lose and Everton drop into the relegation zone.

Tokai is the only place with consistent patrols/monitoring. And that is only because a couple of complete raving lunatics are prepared to put the time and effort in.

I'm four episodes in and loving it.
