  1. That and the fact that it would be beyond unfair to Leicester to name just one club. You can pretty much guarantee that clubs that have a good coefficient but are missing out this season will be gagging to get the season voided.
  2. Every Sunday without fail since the lockdown started the house behind mine has a big family gathering. Kids running around, braai cooking away as if it is a normal day. Some people place their wants way above everybody's needs.
  3. Many years back my Mum used to pull a similar stunt - lose her temper, pack a case, stand at the front door telling everybody she was leaving. Worked like a charm when everybody begged her not to go. Then I hit my teens... She was stood there next to her case saying goodbye (again) and I simply picked up the case, opened the door and asked where she wanted me to take it to. She never pulled that stunt again.
  4. I'll check with my step child and get back to you on that one...
  5. Been there, done it, got the mental scarring. Have spent most of the ensuing day in the garden. Hiding.
  6. What rule is that then? And before this goes any further just take in the fact that I have assisted maybe 15 people off the trails in Tokai since the start of the year. Most needed some sort of hospital treatment. Potentially adding to the burden on hospitals and ambulance services right now would be incredibly selfish.
  7. I had to help get a guy with a broken femur off the flowy singletrack of Vasbyt in Tokai last Tuesday. Just because it looks smooth and flowy doesn't mean you can't get it horribly wrong.
  8. Have you never seen a hand written prescription?
  9. Nope. From some angles it looked like it 'might' be from others it looked like it wasn't. Not clear at all.
  10. Unfortunately not. Taken from the activity card section on SANParks websight - Level 1 – Dog-walking (R305)Level 1 - Multi User Level 1 card additional member (R115.00)Level 2 – Hang-gliding and paragliding, sport climbing (R455)Level 3 – Horse-riding, cycling, line fishing and transport (R625)Level 3 - Additional member (R270.00)
  11. To be fair he could have picked it up and run with it and I would still claim it wasn't handball
  12. It hit the top of his shoulder and chest, according to the rules that is not handball.
  13. For some reason the premier league decided they did not want to enact that part of VAR. Not sure if they issued a rule or merely a guideline to that effect but either way it seems short sighted.
  14. Much as I am on the side of the idiots involved here being held to account there are others that do the best they can. Four times that I know of since Christmas eve rangers have assisted with or completed the evacuation of injured riders from Tokai. #notallrangersaretwats
  15. I personally asked them to remove that type of line in a meeting last year. My reasoning was that it gives a completely false impression of the funding as we see it. Looking at that it has been amended but still leaves lots of room for misunderstanding. I dug out the minutes of the meeting dated 26 March 2019 Here's the relevant bit - Matters Arising MS: The wording on the FAQ page for activity cards on the SANParks website is leading visitors to believe that TokaiMTB and the trails are funded via money garnered from activity card sales, specifically mentioned on the site are track maintenance and closing of illegal trails. TokaiMTB requests that any confusing or unclear wording be removed or changed as this is having an adverse effect on our ability to raise outside funding.
  16. A twisting force makes all the difference. I produced the same result as that with an armlock in a competition when I put pressure on just as my opponent tried to twist the opposite way, went from having no more than firm control to a snapped arm in a split second. A horrible moment.
  17. User Group: "Right time to boycott your activity card fees" SANParks: *Shrugs shoulders and has a long look at the money pouring in at Boulders and Cape Point*
  18. This in a nutshell. As mentioned the Wildcard does not allow you to cycle, for that you need a level 3 activity permit. A day pass is okay if you are on a one off visit but the annual permit makes a lot more financial sense if you are around all year round.
  19. The problem with that is you have to pass through a pay point to get to that road on a road bike. Not condoning what happened here but it's a hard sell if the "I didn't know" defence is going to be used.
  20. That sound is loud, I was at close quarters to an arm breaking that way and it is not a sound I would want to hear again.
  21. Where exactly was a knife supposed to be hidden? In the swathes of loose lycra? Outside of that - if that is how they deal with a 'knife wielding thug' I'm bloody surprised more of them aren't stabbed. It was pathetic. There was zero control of the situation and the fact that only one ranger was really involved, while the others stood around looking sheepish and lost, would seem to indicate a less than threatening situation.
  22. Yep sure, other than the witness that took the video of the whole mess. There's your third side right there. It doesn't matter whether he was being a bit naughty or cheeky, that was in no way reasonable force being applied. It was one short fat twat being the tough guy...
