  1. There is no supplement that is going to give you the "BOOST" that you are looking for. The reason for the supplements/nutrition is to help you maintain your energy levels for the duration of the race. Train harder.
  2. Mmmmm, I think you hit the nail on the head with this one. A weak effort from CS to direct attention away from themselves????
  3. Hi, I recently bought a Sram 39T 120 bcd chainring from Nancyvdw for R550. PM her maybe she can help you.
  4. I've been using Stans sealant in Maxxis Crossmark Lust tyres for about 3 years now with no problems at all. The only issue I have is that in summer the Stans seems to dry up quite quickly.
  5. Anyone used Batseal?
  6. On clothing you pay import duties, but not on bicycle parts. On bicycle parts it will only be the 14% vat and a small handling fee as flowta said.
  7. I say no, but ToysRus claim to be able to do 26" to 27.5" conversions, so it will be interesting to hear what they have to say.
  8. Leaving for Pietermaritzburg early tomorrow morning. What's the weather look like for Saturday, is it going to be a mud bath or haven't you guys had that much rain?
  9. The same rule applies irrespective of whether you are on a road bike or a mtb. It is just easier to maintain a high cadence while in a higher gear on a road bike because of the terrain and the bikes dynamics.
  10. The Fat Tracks mountain bike club have made sure that Scott Ayton's memory is kept alive all these years, through this event.
  11. Would love to do this race, but it's off to the XCO Nationals in PMB that weekend.

  13. I think there was a thursday group that rode from the kragga kamma spar, but not sure. Best is to join the tuesday group and chat to some of the guys there.
  14. Hi, there is a group that rides from the Storehouse Church in Vitry Ave, Lorraine at 17:45 on Tuesdays. Some of these guys are also training for the Trans Baviaans.
  15. Ha ha I don't doubt that. But seriously, like broker said try to get something with a HRM. If you start getting serious and want to follow a training program, most require a HRM it is a great training tool.
  16. If you really are slow, then maybe something with a calender.
  17. Ha ha, posted from my phone so couldn't get the correct smiley.
  18. No offense, but I'm not sure I'd take advise on riding in wind from someone living in Gauteng.

  20. Get into an aero position, change into a comfortable gear and spin.
  21. The OP is talking about a Sram BB30 crank which requires a 10mm allen key to loosen the drive side. For a Sram GXP crank you will use a 8mm allen key and loosen the non drive side.
  22. You must loosen the drive side. Should be a 10mm Allen key, turn anti clockwise.
  23. There is a nice 20km loop near the airport that I like to ride when I go down there. You can also ride the old Montagu pass to Herold and back.
  24. My son's Flash also had a terrible creak coming from the seatpost. I tried everything but nothing helped. As a last resort I cut a couple of mm off the bolts that hold the water bottle cage on the seat tube. Problem solved. It seems that the bolts were rubbing against the seatpost.
  25. Have a look at the picture that I posted on page 1.
