  1. I have the Cateye V3 wireless with hrm and the wheel size is in mm so you can set it pretty accurately.
  2. Tyre pressure will have an impact on the wheel size. I measure mine by sitting on the bike on rolling it through 3 wheel revolutions, then dividing by 3. This gets it pretty acurate. My 29er with Maxxis Icons measures 2246mm.
  3. Let's get Carpet's bike looking like it looked before some idiot stuffed it up. Whatever is left to go towards refunding Dips's reward money.
  4. Actually still not 100% convinced that that is a nut. Try grab it with a pliers and give it a pull (the dust seal/nut that is).
  5. Sorry, you are right. I did not see the flats in the shadow. I have older sram x9 hubs and they have a dust seal with the nuts behind it.
  6. If the insurance is prepared to pay then of course Carpet should accept the payment. What's the point of having insurance and then telling them no thanks, no matter what the circumstance. I am quite happy to leave my small donation in the kitty for another worthy cause.
  7. That's not a nut it is a dust seal. You should just be able to pull it off. The nuts are behind the dust seal. It's better to take the rotor off first as you don't want to get it full of grease.
  8. Payment made. What MaXiMuM said, just post a pic of you and your new bike and all will be well in Hub Land.
  9. "A well looked after bike should never let you down on the trail (nor squeek and creak and drive you nuts!)." Unless it's a Cannondale. They are supposed to.
  10. Have to agree with this. My youngster rides a Flash 29er with a 28 spoke ZTR Crest rim on the front. He races XCO with it, i.e drop offs, gap jumps, rock gardens e.t.c with no damage to the front wheel or the ZTR crest back wheel.
  11. If I understand correctly, if you cheat your body will never go into ketosis which is when you really start burning fat for fuel. It is really important in the beginning to not cheat. Once you have reached your goal you can cheat a bit.
  12. Yes, rock up introduce yourself and ride. Nice friendly bunch.
  13. There is a group that rides from the Storehouse church in Vitry Ave Lorraine at 5:45 pm on Tuesdays. They generally don't go too fast and usually wait for the slow riders.
  14. Yeah a guy always pushes a lady harder......
  15. Good advice. Using temperatures is very useful. I usually put bearings in the freezer for a while before installing them.
  16. I don't think you will get more than R7000.00 for it.
  17. Thanks Ryan, makes sense.
  18. I don't want to rain on anyone's parade and love the Pyga's myself, and also think that Patrick is a great guy. But is this legal, with the outside assistance rule and all?
  19. You get a spacer to use with the BB to increase the width. Your LBS should have some laying around. Not sure which side it goes on but I think it is the drive side.
  20. Possibly just easier to reach the pro-pedal lever.
  21. Sorry to hear, hope you are ok. If I recall correctly there have been several hijackings / attempted hijackings in that area.
  22. Sure this will work, but ja not cheap at R746. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/za/en/rockshox-poploc-lever/rp-prod18131
  23. Stealing someone's Pyga should be punishable by public stoning in the town square.
  24. This gumtree add is also a scam. this one is in the Eastern Province but there is one in every province.
  25. Also check the low carb high protein fat thread fixed
