  1. Anyone here familiar with Csixx hubs? https://csixx.com/products/hub-rear I'm curious as to who designs and manufacture these? Any comment on quality with first hand experience also welcome. Tagging some of the people I think may know? @nick_the_wheelbuilder and @RobertWhitehead and @David Marshall
  2. Jokes aside. +1 on this
  3. I support this view. I wouldn’t dare get a 2nd hand GF.
  4. I really don't see what all the fuss is about. As far as I can tell, there are plenty of choices across plenty of price and performance ranges. The componentry keeps getting better and no one will be left behind. Just look at 1970's componentry still available today. Heck, you can get your hands on just about anything these days. If you don't like the price tag of the new electronic stuff - stick with what you are riding. There is no better bike than the one you can ride immediately. And if you like the Techy stuff and want to ride the latest, well then enjoy it. All these changes lead to an improved market and I'm happy for it.
  5. Unless you are looking for a different experience, you’ll be just fine on a MTB. My brother and I did the race together a couple of years ago. I was on a gravel bike and he was on a dual suspension MTB and we rode together.
  6. Couldn't agree more. Use the rules to do what is necessary to win.
  7. Did you see the pic? This is not a 2/3 stitch wound.
  8. Wishing her all the best. Takes some guts.
  9. I’ll just leave that there. Its my friends number. He also asked for the pic.
  10. Really like the rawness of the speed company racing boys. In their interviews, nothing is scripted and they tell it like it is.
  11. Going to be a banger of a finish.
  12. I have a Hero 4 black you can borrow and trial for a bit if you want. Older version but still really good footage. Pop me a message if you are interested.
  13. I’ve used the bicycle couriers twice. Excellent service and fair price. Boxed. https://bicyclecouriers.co.za
  14. Thanks. Fitted it and it seems to fit okay, but I don't want to be silly and ruin a brand new chain and or cassette, so being extra careful.
  15. Is the following KMC link compatible with SRAM GX Eagle 12 speed? I've tried to search and can't seem to find an answer. It does however look different comparing to the SRAM link on my chain. It looks like a road link to me. If it is, I'm assuming it won't work. Any advice welcome, please. https://www.takealot.com/kmc-chain-link-12-speed-gold-2-card/PLID73147265
  16. I'm no expert, but I think the chainring size shouldn't affect the anti-squat. It will affect the pedal-kickback though, which is a by-product, but I don't see how it will really make a difference. Edit: Ignore me. Mr. Google gave some good reading and Cliff has a point. Adding a cool link for those interested. https://www.trainerroad.com/forum/t/best-chainring-size-for-xc-racing/42442/46?page=3
  17. All the best with the R&R
  18. Get a membership at Wolwespruit. You wont regret it. I can show you around early one morning?
  19. Great place to start
  20. Early morning at Wolwespruit. First 30min with a light. The seasons have definitely changed.
