  1. Maybe because the event date is for 5 years from now? Event Name: Tour Durban When: 24 February 2021 Where: Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban, Kwazulu-Natal Category: Road
  2. Looks good, But why the Shitmano pedals on a Campy show bike????????????????
  3. The way that you are stating it it sound like you are saying that all of them just measure one leg and estimates the other. So just to clarify, all powermeters that measure from the spider onwards to the hub, measures both legs power output, or total power supplied to the wheel. If they offer a reading that displays left/right balance, then that is only estimated, basically the total that it measures is devised in 2 with a ratio calculated by the amount of force applied in a certain area around you pedaling circle. So, SRM, P2M, Quarq, powertap (blades and hub) and of coarse dual sided pedals like garmin, powertap, pioneer, gives the most accurate reading of your true amount of power put out. Stages isnt as accurate on that metric, but does give a constant reading, at say 2% below what the others will show. Interestingly, someone like Froome would have a lower % of deviation, because he has a higher cadence, meaning that the force measured has a smaller effect on the Watts number.
  4. Same complaints for the last 6 years about. Every start of year we complain, just ask spidey.
  5. Is that R190 for one crit or the series? If its just for the one, then its too expensive. If for series, then how many in the series?
  6. The fact that someone of her quality, that is another nations ex national champ and she still is registered as a national of that country, needs a South African sponsor, is even more worrisome.

VA starts at 5:40, so if we finish fast enough, then I can catch you guys on my second lap.
  11. Great bikes, here is mine, Ive had it from 2011 and Im still racing it. Ive changed the look a few times, but still love it. One word of caution, the seatpost clamp does not always hold the seatpost tight enough, so you have to tighten it really tight and this can cause the thread to shear, I have had to fix it once already. If you want to use oval rails, then get the clamps that Giant use on their similar seatposts, they work. Weight as in picture - 7 kg. (With FSA Gossamer cranks, have changed to Sram red and now on Hollowgram with an SRM.)
  12. the YAW is just the mechanical method for eliminating trim and chain rub, you find it on their mechanical groups as well.
  13. I like the look of that 25! might get one!
  14. She is on a 29er yes, with XX1. Believe me, she is paying most of her own mtb stuff as well, merida is a sponsor though.
  15. Thanks Meezo
  16. Does anyone have the number you can call to get your local tracking number?
  17. I would go for HB and stem interface too.
  18. You can get an A-headset adapter, then you can use a modern type stem and handlebar on your bike, should be able to get it at most LBSs. Out of interest, do you have a pic of the bike, because those were the only really beautiful bikes Trek has ever made.
  19. Can't see the video (work), but if you mean to cut of the top and screw it on upside down, so to make a garage pump work on it, I have done it lots. Started doing it when I was a junior and stuck at a garage with a tube but no pump. It actually works easily. That time I ground the top off on the cement, took a while, but there wasn't always a phone with you back then. Oh and yes, that's why you keep your valve caps on.

And that's what I don't understand, why cant we collect on race day, especially the registered riders, what admin problems does it present? This is one key thing that is putting me off of going to some races. Even if I can afford the entry, I cannot afford all the admin to get my numbers, this costs me mostly almost twice what the entry cost. And no organizer will ever give you a clear reason why. Ok, rant off.

I just asked something similar on the news thread for the Campus2campus, I dont understand why they also only do registration up until 4pm, I mean, the shop is open til mostly 6pm and if I can get the time to drive the 50km to fourways, it would be after work. Dont know if ASG will answer my question at all.
  22. Just a question to ASG, as the organisers. Why do you only keep regestration open until 16:00 on a weekday? Most people work until 4 or 5 and its not easy getting 2hours off of work to collect a number. The shop is even open till 6am or something?
  23. I would say (out of experience), a powermeter is only beneficial if you are wanting to race or already race at the top of your category AND you have a dedicated coach that understand powertraining, that can interpret your numbers and tell you what to do. If you do not have that, then you will have an expensive toy that shows you numbers on your computer. A groupset will give you instant satisfaction and maybe make you enjoy your ride more, this can make you more positive and get you racing harder.
  24. Wait for a South Easter, You will be able to vent all frustration and anger in peddle strokes.
