  1. Winning-Time became Racetec and I think SAS woks with racetec as well?
  2. They should search their history better. Pepper only won the yellow jersey in 2008, not points. Just saing.
  3. Well, thats the choice YOU as a FUNrIDER make, by participating in an organised event. If you dont like the rules or regulations, then meet up with your buddy and race each other around the block.
  4. Actually, those people that only ride a race longer than 30km (if I'm correct) needs to pay. They have an option of paying the R35 day licence if they want to do a longer "race" and if they do more than 3 a year, is a better option to take out a licence. You see, the CSA classifies a fun rider as someone that rides less than 3 races a year or less than 30km at a time.
  5. I think ccc2 is more correct than most on this topic. The CSA has never said it wants the PPA's money, they can't take it, they can however ask the levies and fees. Thats it, thats what every other club does aswell. The CSA is trying to encourage the people to join clubs and so, grow the cycling community, thats why you have a once off fee of R75 to affiliate to the CSA, most clubs cover that in their club fees. It would seem as if the PPA does not want to opperate as a club, but rather as a bussines and get max profit they can out of an event. If you are not a PPA member at their events, then you get no time and no seeding, while paying more, is that not the same as the CSA is doing with their affiliation fees? So they are bullying you to join them if you want to get a seeding and a time? I do not see this as the CSA wants to steal the PPA's money, they cant, they do however want the PPA to conform to SASCOC rules that were layed out to them and become part of the CSA. I think the reason why the CSA is taking so long to come up with a solution, is because they actually want to accomodate both, not just one side.
  6. Frame is gone too.
  7. The zipps you can clearly tell by their hubs.
  8. Haha, was just posting the same
  9. So this dissapeared quickly after I asked regarding the hubs?
  10. Sheesh, with a crowd like this, I can see why our country struggles to get professional cycling going.
  11. Watse werk doen jy as hulle sulke goed vir jou sê?
  12. Ek ka in Afrikaans se wat die FSP vir my beteken. F....n Sleg P...s
  13. And you think that CSA or PPA, with their limited resources and staff, are going to should regulate this. Ok, think of the logistics, how many working commuters do you have in the townships, if they dont need to get it, where do you draw the line on who has to get it then and who does not. Who will enforce this appon me and what can they do to me if I dont have one? If you say that if you don have one you cannot enter races, well, most of the people breaking traffic laws, so again back to square one. All this will do is put in another law, that will not be obayed and more admin for Institutes that cannot cope. Bottom line, you start being the change and obay all traffic laws, on your bike and in your vehicle.
  14. Also, it is not so much the performance enhancing side effect that they are concerned about when testing. If you take all those medicines before the race, just to compete, you can damage heart muscles, your liver, your kidneys, if you are sick and know you are taking stuff just to feel better enough to compete, it could cost you your life and testing and banning is a deterent for this behaviour aswell.
  15. But, it completely looks like A.S.G. isn't part of their sponsorship anymore?
  16. Seems as if Bonitas has switched to CKT bikes with Di2 for 2013? (Got it from twitter)
  17. I also dont understand why, Ive built a few wheels using mix matched hubs and rims like this. A 24hole rim with 32hole hub is actually nice for road wheels, because you can build it up with a 2 to 1 lacing pattern (double the amount of spokes on drive side), it worked perfectly.
  18. I passed them on my way home, I saw them standing there and the Girl looked quite shocked. I first thaught a car almost hit them. To think I cross that piece every day. I see the 2 riding around town regulary. The Guys at Trinity are truly great, thanks to them for helping so quickly.
  19. That looks seriously nice. I just have a recommendation, I see you've painted the entire rim? The brakes may not work properly on the paint and will damage the paint quickly. Have you maybe considered making it a single speed with a back pedal?
  20. Ill buy them from you if you cannot use them on the tandum!
  21. Think its only a scam, with no real bike. He has 2 different bikes in the 2 pics.

    A Sub 3 Argus?

If you use downhills for recovery, then you are wasting free time!
  23. No, they call it racing tacticks. Her team was the strongest with the most of the strong riders in their team. If they did not send anyone away, they would have been left to do all the work. So best is to send someone that can ride alone ahead, forcing other teams to do the work and saving all your other guns. Its how racing works. They put the ball in the other teams hands and gave them the power to decide if they want to chase or leave her, hoping she will fade. Racing is a gamble.
  24. All the way its double lane one way traffic with a yellow line. No problems. Should give you about 120km from the Total in LHP.
  25. You can go to the tollgate if you want. Have done that a few times.
