  1. All these guys complaining about a Vet getting tested, are scared that you are next?
  2. Sorry, meant Boss, slip of the G.
  3. Uhm, you know that he actually won the Tour of Turkey a while back (when Goss made him crash on final day), not out of nowhere, just not in your radar.
  4. So not a good track record for our doping authorities, maybe setting up a president in court.
  5. Didn't the comrades runner get off because of technicalities with testing, think it was last year or something, and I recall the same with some rugby players. (Too lazy to google)
  6. You have actually taken away an award winning invention to speed up wheel removal and replaced it with the same technology used in a 90s pick&pay special. But, besides that, if you can use an Aluminium shaft with a quick release function, then that would be something. Other than that, it will stiffen it up a bit.
  7. Must say, that rival22 with hydraulic rim brakes looks very attractive! But price looks to be close to R12000 , for Rival.
  8. Tipies afrikaans, kan hydraulic spel maar skryf road verkeerd!

  10. oh just a note, if you have the XX world cup brakes, then they do not use those cup and cone washers, weight weenie thing that SRAM did with the brakes. If it is not aligning in a horizontal plane, then use thin washers between the adapter and the frame, if its not aligning in the vertical, then check the flatness of the tops of your adapter.
  11. Maybe this is on other websites as well, but maybe have a map, where you can put in a certain date and on the map it will show markers with where there are races on that date, like a google maps tag thingy. You can then zoom int to a certain location and see all the races in that vicinity on that date. You can even do a search with races within a certain radius on a certain date maybe (or in a certain time frame, like within a month.) or even local races (withing a certain radius) with entries closing within a few days?
  12. Just remember, it is best used together. No help going out and doing intervals at the correct Watts, but you are over trained and struggling to get your HR above 80%. HR shows how your body is feeling, Power shows what your body is doing.
  13. So what do you see as normal and what is wide?
  14. There is still an upper limit of the substance that can be reached in your bloodstream, for testing. Pettachi got a ban for testing over this limit.

Looking at the route, they made a good race bad, that is the most boring, worn out piece that they could use, same as used by, Wilro and EPR and that piece back on the N14 is just plain boring/stupid (including traffic).
  16. Is he sharing a coke with Dries?
  17. You are correct, their headset cups are also very shallow, so not too much meat to press it into as well and I wont even risk trying to remove it. But saying that, at least its another idea instead of using a R1500 steering tube adapter, so the idea is out there for someone to try.
  18. I have been pondering the idea of getting a lefty and using it on an imported frame for a while, what put me off was that you would need to get a special adapter to use the lefty on a tapered head tube. Then I saw that Cane Creek has a special headset for converting a straight head tube into a tapered one. It got me thinking, could the 1.5 bottom headset cup from this headset not be installed into the top of a tapered head tube, effectively making it 1.5 top and bottom, making it possible to use the standard lefty stem and steering pipe? Just curios on what you guys think?
  19. Must say, the integration of these are way ahead of the road parts. Specific, hb, stem, battery in steerer, much better planning than on the road.
  20. No problems Gummibear, make this the main thread. http://mtbs.cz/kateg...nika/album/9072 The link I added with some more pics.
  21. Also mentioned here https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/139897-so-who-wants-to-see-the-new-xtr-di2/ With link tomore pics.

  23. I must say that I think the time lost was even a bit more. My own fault for only getting into the chute 15min before the start, thus having to start 3/4 back (in road race we enter 3 min before the start and then almost nobody has lined up). I started my clock as the shot went and it took me almost a minute to cross the start, take that and the fact that you are riding about 5km/h slower over the first 10km, than you would have starting upfront, you can easily loose another 10min, but it teaches me to line up earlier, my own fault. Otherwise, great race. First big mtb race in 5 or 6 years, so I held back a lot, but it was worth it for the last 20km.
  24. Being a roadie and all (although I dont like lables), where you get on your bike, go out the gate and you are free to go wherever you want (mostly), I find it sad that the mtb scene is so restrictive. I take for example, if you dont want to pay, ride gravel roads or sidewalks. I have buildt xc tracks and single track before, so I know how much work it is, so I understand that the traibuilders need to be paid and that its hard work and I do understand the indemnity thing, but isnt there a way that government (I know, I know, that word is worse that swearing) can help everyone? Kind of like a tax rebate if you have trails on your property and have proof of the indemnity forms, so that some of these areas are more open to all. All I mean is that if you are a beginner, with little funds to even buy the mtb, it does get expensive to go to all the parks and that can be very discouraging for people to even start.
  25. It looks good, the shifting sequence (if correct in article) would just put me off it, it would change the whole double tap approach and would make it difficult to switch between 2 bike with mechanical and electrical parts. That said, I like how bike radar has the whole conspiracy thing going with the wireless and fake wire story, if its true, then SRAM made the group as I would have made it and I would then even slightly be tempted to get my hand on it, as soon as it trickles down to force level. Only other thing that looks bit funny are the shifters looking like its some kind of toy, rather that high tech equipment. I will be following this closely to see what they launch at the TdF, together with Campy probably launching their new SR group.
