    Well, I just went for a 20km ride.......to work and back. I have a 'permit' to ride my bike.

    What did they find was the problem with the pivot? My head set bearings is still fine.

    I did the Free State Cycle tour (105km) last year on my Stratos AL5, with slicks. Did a average of more than 30km/h. I can't say that the weight was ever any sort of a problem.

    Anybody else have problems with dirt getting into the main pivot and pivot bearings? The bike keeps on making 'cracking' noises. Every week I have to disassemble the pivot and clean it.

    The fork is a Reba. The shock and rims are standard. I have an extra set of wheels with slicks for some road riding, American Classics.

    My only problem with the Comp, is the Fork. I just don't know them.

    I remember my dad had a bike, it was neon yellow, pink and white.

    I remember the days when I got my first 'big' bike, some kind of Raleigh. The more gears you had, the better the bike was. Think my bike had 21 or 24 gears.
