  1. Problem is in manufacturing back at the factory. Often they will use the same production line for different products. If the mixing tanks, and plumbing is not properly flushed then carry over will occur. The production plant doesn;t give a hoot about trace chemicals from the previous product so its fairly common to get carry over. The risk to the end user just becomes a lottery. Will the guy that bought a tub or XYZ from ACME supplements have the tub with contaminated product and will he use it close to a competition and what are he chance of that person being tested. if the risk is small the pharma companies don;t give a hoot. They not going to spend an extra day flushing out the plant because the previousproduct contained ingredients on a banned list. real patients are more valuable than healthy sports persons
  2. would be interesting to compare the trace found in this chaps body to the levels found in Impey's samples. The whole argument for inadvertent use was the substance concentration in the sample and the disciplinary panel applyin their minds to allow a reasonable argument to be made. That doesn't happen in cycling much.
  3. Formula 1 in 2014 is worse than ever thanks to stupid rules like homologated new hybrid engines. I have no issue with the hybrid aspect but it would be better for the spectators if the engines were allowed to be developed over the first three years of introiduction with a gradual increase in homolagation of key components. As it stands the world championship is decided on the drawing board two years before the actual championship. Think I'll go watch Jukskei instead, much more exciting
  4. All cars have a rubber strut or shock mounting for the purpose of removing NVH and prolonging the life of the shock. there is no lateral movement in these elements due to the wheel path being fixed and determined by the suspension members. Not so easy to acheive up fron since the fork has a negative spring and is actuated directly not through a linkage.
