  1. phew now I feel better - should show my wife this pic - she complains about 4 bikes (plus the kiddies' bikes)
  2. Nice matching detail on the rims One Q though - Is white hoods practical?
  3. check your chain line is straight so move blade to the position to suit like Anfielder says. BTW make sure not to use Track or fixed gear chainrings, -sprockets, and -chains. They are 1/8inch wide(wider (or thicker??) than geared bikes' drivetrain)
  4. Aaah Bennetts aka Boudjie Room, I don't know what they put in that stuff but it sure works for healing chaffed bits
  5. Very nice One NickM I'm just waiting for my old lady to get dressed' date=' then I'll post her here as well [img']https://assets.bikehub.co.za/legacy_images/smilies/smiley2.gif[/img]

  9. It's always the seatstays that go Well you can really be thankfull to be alive (my dad was not so lucky) A bike is easy to replace
  10. would have looked grand with those shimano 50 deep's you sold
  11. ok I'll stick my head out and say:"It's cool" <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Very nice bike, but I will only take it on Sunday cruises for something completely different and the nice art work Definitely not to be used as a thoroughbred race machine
  12. I thought that maybe I should have taken the frame home after sand blasting and use sandpaper to smooth out the roughness, as I say this is not familiar territory for me. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Also, I'm the only one that's not too happy with the finish. Others have mentioned that you can't really see it.
  13. I'm out of my depth on this topic, but.... DON"T SANDBLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just had an old steel frame sandblasted with "old shot" as they call the "sand" already used, primed and painted. I was there when it was done. The problem is even if they use old shot and even if the blast it only "lightly" the frame comes out like sandpaper which the primer, paint nor clear coat hide. If you want that smooth finish don't sand blast
  14. This will be great to use on a saterday afternoon ride to wake up the drunk farm workers walking in the middle of the road
  15. A moment of silence for mr. Voit please. The stage was just 1.9km too long
  16. Sorry can't help, both mine is without cadence I bought the wireless STRADA on ebay and saved about R200 over LBS (I think with shipping was about R450). I think with current exchange rate you might save even more - very nice unit though. But as I said, stay away from the strada's flimsy wires
  17. Just don't buy STRADA with wires I don't have the cadance one, but have the original white wired STRADA as well as the wireless STRADA. The wired one I've had replaced twice due to pick up issues with the wires and I've given up on those flimsy wires The wireless unit works very well though
  18. If you have to ask' date=' you're obviously not getting near any. [/quote']
