Where did you get that LG Pvr? who sells it and how much approx?

Has things improved? Have not heard of any recent incidents and notice lots of Mtb'ers on the trail from Rhodes into Town.

Anyone have any luck on this? Is the capture card still the bext way to go, would love to record the upcoming Giro.

I am glad you avoided the cyclist, you would have really felt bad if you knocked him even accidentally. It sounds like the cyclists were definitely in the wrong in terms of just being aware of the surroundings, and traffic. cyclist versus car, we all know who is gonna win. I ride on the M5 occasionally into work, when I do ride on it in the mornings, the cars are usually standing dead still all the way from Kromboom turnoff (Where I join the M5) all the way to the turnoff for N2 where I duck onto Liesbiek Parkway. I am not making any excuses for the cyclists riding the M5, I know when I ride on this road it is dangerous and only do it in peak hour morning traffic when its pretty much grid locked, its actually safer then than the main road that has the Taxi's.

Also went this morning we about half hour later than your start. Will try and make the next one with you guys.

Where exactly do you meet at the bottom or at the beginning of the trail? Also how long do you normally take, are you able to hit Town by 7:30'ish? or does it take longer?

I am a roadie that also just started the Mtb thing, man I must say its allot of fun, for all the reasons listed above and it is a much harder workout than your typical road ride. Loving it but still the love the road as well.

And another response to my email to them: We have just had a brief meeting and was informed that we will be trying to push for it to be done next week sometime we will inform you either via the website or in the next email to database. Thank you for your patience.

It does not look like we will be seeing the results anytime soon, further email from them: We have just been informed that there is not going to be a seeding run now as it is being worked on for improvement and because it is the MTB season the races are much smaller than the road races. Thank you for your understanding and patience in this regard.

I emailed them this is there response: No seeding update yet, we still awaiting on the cycle tour trust to complete the Argus results which will hopefully be by the end of this week.

Well I have done what I can to find out if the process is open and fair, you welcome to dimiss it as speculation but there seems to be other hubbers that have experienced the same and also know of and give examples of it happening. Headhunter I am with you, not phased about this guy. Was sorry to hear about your fall, hope you recover quickly.

I agree with you Tubehunter, not investing any more energy I sent the email off not expecting any response, but like you say at least they know that we are watching the process. Na man, not riding Malmesbury, looking for MTB now and gonna have some fun on the Mountain. Have a great one, J and hope you find the tube you were hunting for!

You like so many others miss the point of the thread, it was to highlight the fact that the seeding process is open to favour/contacts... This should not be the case as some of us, slog up the ladder put effort in to get better and move up so we can ride with faster guys and get faster. If the process is open to anyone just getting into the higher start groups then why should we bother putting the effort in, it cheapens the sport. Like I have said before I am not competing with this guy and removed his times etc so that it did not become a personal attack on him, more on the system that should not be open to this type of favours, obviously there are some of you that dissagree and believe that there is nothing wrong with bending the rules. I also cannot believe that this thread is still going
