  1. You are a tough dad, I don`t think I would have made it through varsity without THC and a couple of other little recreational supplements!
  2. Are you surprised? the Chineese are apparently experts at making babies!
  3. Nice, clean lines, simple suspension design , space for a bottle cage, .......wonder how it pedals.
  4. Enjoying Mr Robot Ballers is ok , so is Humans True detective is filled with great actors but plot is too complex for the timeframe, I keep on feeling there is a great series in there somewhere and there were some good episodes but it needs tightening up, still compelled to watch through to the end though. Series 1 was a hard act to follow even though the ending was a rushed rubbish. Ray Donovan is good. Tyrant is good, series 1 and 2. We also enjoyed Transparent, House of cards, Shameless and Girls, The Borgias was fantastic. Last man on Earth also ok. My wife enjoyed Last Tango in Halifax.
  5. Buy the 3 bike Thule. 2 bike is a bit tight for full sus trailbikes. Bigger is better. Also useful for other luggage. I have used it for Suitcases and it works a treat.
  6. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/EvBF3Lxla98" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I love Terry Gilliams movies. Brazil being my all time favorite, The Zero Theorem is his latest big feature. Great director.
  7. somwhere between 1,8 - 1.86 kg vs 1,96 kg for the fox evolution. It is bloody expensive though but you get what you pay for. I still reckon it`s worth the upgrade as my experience with the maestro suspension has always been that the fork always ends up as the weakest link.
  8. Change the fork to a Pike and upgrade the tyres and wheelset to something lighter, wider and faster(engagement) and you will have a great bike.
  9. Having seen those fork mounted bottle cages, I will never feel bad again about my bar ends!
  10. Apologies if this has been mentioned before but real butter or cream can improve virtually any dish.
  11. Lots of songs recognized as originals are covers House of the rising sun - many versions before the Animals made it their own. Always on my mind - Elvis Presley ( Willie Nelson also covered it well) Love Jimmy Hendrix`s version of `all along the watchtower` more than Bob`s Don`t cry for me Argentina , Covered by Sinead o`Connor ( she did many fantastic covers on the album `Am I not your girl?) Blue eyes cryin in the rain - Willie Nelson
  12. Pah!.....done that, next time i will just try to open my eyes and hold on to the bike for the OTH to be a summersault rather than a not so elegant faceplant!
  13. House of cards Ray Donovan waiting for the next season of: True detective ( ending of series 1 was dissappointing though ) Shameless Game of Thrones The Borgias. What a great series not popular here i think ( if this will ever return? ) last 2 seasons of True Blood were crap (finished now)
  14. Techniblock spf 40 water resistant.
  15. We just love it when you nurse us!
  16. I can already see the replies......`But it`s because we women have a higher IQ....blah blah`
  17. I always find the whole pain / childbirth analogy quiet puzzling as most of the females i know cry at the slightest little stubbed toe or paper cut yet I have been around blokes with bullet holes and bones sticking through skin who have just grimaced and taken the pain. Same goes with pushing through and suffering up the hiils rather than slowing down before they have broken through that 'barrier'. My wife dissagrees.
  18. Would love to try it, with a proper fullface helmet of couse, must give your core muscles a good workout too!
  19. 2008/2009 Trance X0 , 2 different bikes, same problems. Solved with RWC bearings
  20. I can answer this for you. Yes. The problem will be gone.. I have done over 10,000km on one RWC bearing set and it`s still as good as new.
  21. What bike ? some bikes seem more prone to this, especially Giant. The aluminium half bushes are very soft and wear quickly, used to drive me crazy, Replaced them with Endura needle roller kit and have never looked back. You need to drive out the fox eylet bushing to replace it with the needle roller. pretty straightforward job but if you are not mechanically minded rather get a bike shop to do it for you. I ordered over e-bay from USA, company called Real World Cycling. great service from them. Maybe there is an SA importer for Endura products but in my experience the bike shops are not very clued up on this so you may as well order direct.
  22. I reckon he just lacks confidence!
  23. Over the lst 6 months I have noticed my Mavic ST tubeless front wheel( ss NN ) losing air. It didn`t stress me much and i put it down to a slow puncture(pick a sealed hole)or maybe low sealant. I was pretty slack about it but the other day the wheel was totally flat so I might as well have a look. Filled the wheel with a bit of stans and pumped it up only to have sealent spraying out the valve opening. Stripped the wheel and found the valve seat opening in the rim was severly damaged/corroded. Maybe some spanner jockey at a bikeshop damaged it in the past or maybe it corroded from the sealant/water/cleaning solvent....... Who knows what but i.m.o. the rim is now finished and I am not to keen to replace it, and probably half the spokes as well in the rebuild process .The wheelset is now 6 years + old and has done well over 20K kilometers which is probably good going but not worth spending too much dosh on.( saving for that Tallboy ltc). So out comes the Pratley steel Clean opening and remove all gunk. No cracks radiating out from the opening so probably still structurally fine. Plug it right through to the inner rim, nice and solid with a decent blob of Pratley`s steel, smooth it to the rim inner profile Make pilot hole in soft putty ( Just to allign the the drill later ) Wait 24hrs for it to set and drill through with 6,0mm drill and ream the inner opening to fit the Mavic valve. Tyre, stans, pump, sorted.
