  1. We spent the past weekend in Hartenbos for my wifes birtday and I went riding on some of the gravel back roads round Klein Brak. Somehow got lost and ended up in Groot Brak with a extra 15km peddle to get home. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  2. Must say I'm super impressed wth these mini saddle bags. I'm on a hardtail, but I hammer it like a trail bike and especially on our rough rocky routes it sticks like you wouldn't believe.[emoji106] Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  3. For some reason I find it difficult to just take a picture of a beautiful landscape. I always put something in the pic to use the landscape as a backdrop. In this case my car proved to be the perfect model to get this shot. And then played around a bit with angles.
  4. These two pics were taken a couple of minutes apart, one into the dirrection of the sunset and one in thd opposite direction. The phone's camera might not be good at handling sunlight angles(or something like that), but it does have its advantages aswell. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  5. This pic from last months Fine Breede MTB also came out pretty decent (on my phone).[emoji6] Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  6. Yes that happens, I've got a mid level Samsung A5 with a 13mp camera and the pics look amazing in comparison to my previous phone that had a 5mp camera, but on a bigger screen they tend to look [emoji90]. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  7. That is a part of the Breede River, as you cross it on the old N1. Was also surprised to see water as it has been cork dry for a few months now.Guess the little rain that we've had fell in the right places. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  8. These might look k@k on your PC, but it looks good on my phone. From a ride the past weekend. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  9. After a couple of weeks of the bike I dragged myself out of bed this morning to join my mate on a road loop. It was a coldAF start, but as th sun came over the mountains it turned into a stunner of a morning. It does help to have an arrangement with someone to go ride, if not for that I would've said f@ck it and slept late. Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  10. Hopefully this will be my first. [emoji849] Sent from my SM-A520F using Tapatalk
  11. Had another nice ride with some good company again this evening. Rode up to a local cycling landmark called "die kruis", this involves quite a lot of climbing that some might enjoy more than others. [emoji6] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  12. Maybe it'll be dubbed a neutral zone like the pass at Montague for the DC. [emoji6] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  13. What a beauty! [emoji108] #natnuutI think we kinda met this morning...... Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  14. Yes it did, it works much like a normal rigid bike would on plus tyres. At the weight of a 6 year old you can run tyre pressures inder 1bar. You can see how fat the tyre looks next to my Saguaro 2.25. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  15. Not sure who might dabble in fixie's or fixie parts in your area, but I think I've heard something about Sprocket&Jack dealing in single speed parts.I've also found a online site a while back who sell fixed geared bikes as well as a wide range of components and apparel including a nice deepish section fixed gear hub wheelset. You can have a look at simplesam.co.za. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  16. Also looking forward to my first full Argus, hope we don't get screwed over again like my previous 2 attempts. As for the rest of the thread I see nothing much has changed, the squabbling has only changed hands from political protest to political water shortages...... 17. I got my boy a cheaper Avalanche 20" and modified it a bit to make the ride easier and smoother. It being a single speed I saw he was struggling a bit with the high gearing so I popped a smaller chain ring on the front. To solve the issue of the harsh ride I wasn't about to fork out alot for suspension so I found some nice and wide 2.5 x 20" tyres at my Lbs which we can run at lower pressures to soften it up. 18. Finally found a decent second hand dropper seatpost so cheap I couldn't let it pass. Tried it out for the first time today and although it feels really weird I'm sure once I get use to it it's gonna improve my skills and flow quite a lot. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  19. Had a lekker relaxed 50km ride with a mate this morning. I'm not usually a early riser, but I've found it has its perks. And when you're mate takes a tumble try to compose yourself for a few seconds to take a pic. [emoji23] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  20. Well it's not a bad problem to have....Kinda like having ladies falling over each other to get a date with you..... [emoji6] Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  21. Useful set you got there, you can also use a thin screwdriver to scrape out the worst of the gunk before scrubbing out the rest. Sent from my S40 using Tapatalk
  22. Where did the event start from Chris? How did you enjoy our local "trails" and terrain? Having to work on Saturdays and missing out on these events right on my doorstep sucks pretty hard. Sent from my SM-J111F using Tapatalk
  23. I know I've made fun of that bike, but I'm willing to be seen on it if you invite me along next time.......???? Sent from my Vodacom Power Tab 10 using Tapatalk
  24. Lol! I've seen that before,a mistake you'll only make once.???? Sent from my Vodacom Power Tab 10 using Tapatalk
  25. They are definitely fast and fun, but I will forever be caught in a love triangle with my roadbike and mtb.......once the gravelbike is complete its gonna become a quadrangle.[emoji48] Sent from my SM-J111F using Tapatalk
