Did half a ride around our local farm trails.Some nice scenery going past Brandvlei dam and The Breede River.

Did a chilled ride past Brandvlei dam this morning with some mates.Unfortunately the ride was cut short by a puncture.Tried to 'trailfix' the cut with a wrapper,but the cut was to big to continue on.Went to McD's for a coffee instead.

Took my little guy out for a ride this afternoon.Whilst trying to get some action photos I hit a hole in the jeeptrack and went OTB.Was comical seing my 4year old throw down his bike and run over to me asking me if I'm okay. So taking this picended up in this picbut it was worth it.

Went out this morning with the wife for a beachfront cruize through Franskraal to end off the weekend.

We visited my folkes in Gansbaai for the weekend and I went out for a long solo ride yesterday.Was lucky enough to catch the sunrise at the perfect moment on the bridge at Uilkraalsmond.Found these old feul pumps in a back street of the little town of Elim.And rode on some beautifull country lane through the local farmlands.

I know what you mean,I tend to spend about 6months on a bike,still have about a month to go,but I've really started to grow fond of my XTC aswell.

You stil have the XTC?I'd have thought you would have moved on already.......[emoji185]

I've wondered about the safety of that fence aswell,but I always take someone with to lessen the odds.I dont have to be faster than the lion,I just have to be faster than the other guy.[emoji48]

A day on 'the Monkey' must be one of the top 5 most fun things to do out of bed.

This looks like a beautifull place to ride youre bike......unfortunatly the pollen will make me wish I never started cycling.

As Kleinhans said always sad to hear of a succesfull team losing sponsorship,but as the saying goes "all good things must come to an end". Thanks to RECM for sponsoring a team that provided us with some excellent racing the past 4 years and all the best wishes for the team going forward.The amount of talent within the team should not see them sponsorless for long however.(me thinks)

Thanks RMan,was wondering how soon YOU would reply(old faithfull to the rescue[emoji4] ).Thought it would work as the sidewall feels quite thick and strong to the touch. I think this 2.5" will be a great upgrade on grip from the 2.0" i've been running on the front.Not worried much about extra weight on my SS ,heavier = stronger legs. Looking forward to (in my mind) convidence inspiring grip.

This morning I visited my LBS and saw an Maxxis Minion 26" tyre hanging on a shelf.I enquired about the tyre and ended up buying it at a very good price.This tyre doesnt have any of the 'tubeless' or 'ust' branding on it,it only says "2 ply casing with butyl insert" on the side.I would like to knowif I would be able to use this tyre as tubeless or do I have to use a tube?Keep in mind this would be on a XC single speed bike,so it wont be thrashed on any downhills.

Went out for a lekker long one today,did part of it on some of the Gravel & Grape trails with the trailbuilder himself,thanks SlanghoekLouis,had a blast.After splitting up with the rest of the group I continued on to Stettyn dam,always a beautifull challenging ride.

My Giant took me out today,from the top of the worldto the king of the jungle.

I bet youre wife thinks you only have one bike........this is a very good strategy.[emoji4]

Did a short ride with a mate this morning.Started of with a bit of climbing.Met another guy on the trails and he tagged along,he turned out to also be a hubber.A Giant,a Silverback,a Merida and a rockymountain....

As always a brilliant preview from Claudio.Nice slipery and tricky course.This is going to be an interesting race.

About 5km from the end we did hit a snag.The sidewall on her tyre started tearing apart and she was scared to ride it with the tube exposed.We exchanged bikes and I did about 200m with her bike before the tube popped and I had to push.Somebody's getting tubeless done.

It seems that the bug has actually bitten again for her as last night she asked if we could go riding again today.She did another 35km ride today,but only with about 200m ascent. We were getting a bit iretated with each other today,but luckely we just kept calm and peddled on.We rode around the Rawsonville and Slanghoek area again with a couple of friends.Had some nice and cool weather and fortunately very little wind.
