  15. I wouldnt get hung up on carbon cranks..it'll be hard to notice any difference at all!. rather go training a bit more and save your $$

I think you become a 'pro' rider in sa when your main activity is training and racing and you may make a small salary out of it..most of the time you'd have some other part time interest too - I wouldnt have thought there is enough racing in SA to warrent a full time pro..unless the team rode overseas every year for a stint inwhich case sponsorship amounts would soar. it also depends on the number of riders in the team and back up crew -manager/coach/mechanic/massuer etc..
