  1. I would guess that if you can't take the heat in SV, you not going to have much joy in elite, unless you quit your dayjob on the flats, elite and SV pretty similar, but the huge difference comes on the climbs!
  2. pros normally have personal shoe sponsors - Popovych also has sidi http://grahamwatson.com/gw/imagedocs.nsf/images/06tdfSt12/$file/11.jpg

  6. Was just a bit over enthusiastic in my aspproach to a railway croissing on wet roads' date=' front wheel slipped and a few riders piled into and over me. Hip also badly bruised but fortunatley nothing broken, including the recently oped wrist. Now I need to get back into shape for DC, Tour de Winelands and season ending Jailbreak. (100km TT as part of a WW tri-athlon team...cant wait!!)[/quote'] Where do you get the details of the jailbreak race from?

  10. very nice race pics, better than cyclingnews and even rival's Graham Watson! so another guy had 'THE BIKE' (even if he is sponsored by cannnondale)
  11. yes, I also just saw this. would be very good for Barloworld and Basso may even come to SA - imagine watching him in the giro del capo!!!
  12. try the vanilla flavour FIT rocovery and mix it with milk, it actaully tastes quite good, but maybe thats me..
  13. time crankset - now thats unique + zero gravity brakes The only thing is..is thing bike going to be used what is was designed for? to go VERY, VERY fast..i hope so
  14. I think I remember the t-mobile guys getting out of competition drug tests while they were staying in somerset west last year..
  15. there is a huge difference in bib and ordinary cycling shorts. the difference is that bib shorts that fit properly are meant to position the shammy properly on your body and keep it there during vigorous riding so as to avoid all the horrible things associated with chaffing/saddle sores etc. you obvioulsy get pros that still suffer, but it does help it. also with normal shorts, being hunched over - normal racing position - tends to 'clump' around your stomach.
  16. in terms of tubbies - conti competitionZippIt2006-10-13 04:35:03
  17. michelin pro race - expensive but probably the best all round tyre in terms of training and racing on. also very easy to install/stretch over rim. super in wet condtions too. punctures very rare. grip is extremely good and you can get more milage than gator skins out of them!! they also come in pretty colours to match your styleZippIt2006-10-13 04:34:04
  18. depends on your budget. If you got the cash - give campy a bash
  19. you probably find if they sell it though the online business they don't have to charge vat, because all that stuff is 'from overseas' anyway
  20. so are orbea on campy now??? they've dumped shimano..

  22. well they made a start to change the show..they got rid of 'Arnie' and relpaced him with Gerold - hopefully forever, now they just need to find a replacement for '5th month of the the year is April' Owen..
  23. well at least that means he won't be causing havoc in our races anymore, although it was kind of nice seeing one guy take on the entire csc team
