  1. The saints are awsome and if can i would get them. I have an old pair if mongoose pedals that i started with but they are ***.
  2. Sjo, can imagine thats a ball shrinking moment. .. I have often thought to myself what i would do in this situation while hurtling down the mountain..in face what would the best course of action be? Bail, duck and roll, hold on and hope for the best, find something to crash into (soft preferably)...
  3. Slight hijack: do you service the older talas forks also? In another thread i asked about converting this to a float version or maybe something better, it can be done depending on parts availability. Any thoughts on this?
  4. That's right, it releases a white sap that I also think is poisonous. I'm sure it's a weed
  5. Hi All, Can someone tell me what these are: Its like a weed that wraps itself aroung a small tree bark or bush amd bears these pods all over the place. Thanks
  6. I have a medium frame amd the current dropper is 380mm and it goes in past the minimum insertion point, almost right up to the clamp due to riding flat pedals now. So the Dabomb is only 10mm shorter.
  7. I have been reading a googling the droppers and i have narrowed the options to two (once i have saved enough dosh or sold current one): 1) Giant 2016 - 30.9, 395/125mm. Problem: frame is 31.6 but i have googled you could make a shim with a beer can that works well. 2) DaBomb RPG - 31.6, 370/100mm. Fits my frame but has less drop is is somewhat shorter. These are the two that seem to fit the "affordable" range. Your thoughts?
  8. Hi All, Have a few old things here but most of them may not be usable. The hubs have parts taken out of them such as covers and the ball bearings, the chains are not full chains and pretty old. The saddle seems in good nick though amd tje brakes are pretty old also. The one bottle cage is in good nick as is the other and the rotor is a bit bent. One set of lock on grips in good condition, the other a little worn. There is a rear shock stantion that came off mt RP23 that has a slight nick on it. I am looking for a marsh guard or any mtb stem less than 60mm but not direct mount. Just want to test a shorter stem out. Thanks
  9. Would you reckon the new 2016 giant post is a better option?
  10. People sure wont struggle to see you :-)
  11. Lol...and we wonder why Zim is where its at....hahaha
  12. After numerous falls at rietvlie the weekend, including clipping my handlebars on a bridge that sent me tumbling with an audience at the other end to witness (slighlty embarrassed as they were noobs and i sure looked the part of a great rider), i broke/lost the sumarai swords on my bar ends (money down the drain) and trashed my grips so got me some of these: I must say, the bar ends are much better quality than some of those stock standard black ones.
  13. It's niether here nor there who rates first. If you had a good experience being a buyer or seller then give a rating. I often ask buyes to give a rating as most dont really do that and then i also give a rating for them. If a buyer was good i would rate then as so.
  14. Its a really controversial topic as technically it not wrong, you buying and selling for profit. On the flip side it's not cool in terms of the hub community like you say and people need items or want them badly but really have little spare cash in these hard times and they are being screwed over each time. Personally i dont like it and wouldn't do it. Hubbers are great and can give really good items at great prices that makes you feel part of something special but that is ruined by the sharks. Its not cool at all.
  15. And those who snap up the bargains sell them again for a profit..
  16. Agreed. I have enquired about items as i am not sure if i want it or not but wont say i sent a PM. I get asnwers on my questions then decide if i want to buy it. Most times i want to buy pretty much everthing on the hub but then i realize i have a bond, expenses, children...etc...lol
  17. Ok so how does this so called "dibs" work: lets say i call it by saying pm sent, then only can pay for it at a later stagebut promise to pay but another buyer can pay cash now for the item, what does the buyer do ethically regrading this? Is there an unwritten rule for time frame between calling dibs and making payment?
  18. I have often seen a comment on "PM sent", then one of "Still available?" then "yes" meaning the pm'er didnt take the item. If i see a pm and want the item i will still enquire and if i want to send a PM i send one without putting it in tje comments. Guess its just preference..
  19. Regarding the PM thing: what is the purpose of saying in the comments "PM Sent" other than informing hubbers you have sent a pm as you interested? Why not just send a PM?
  20. Yeah, the seller should delete thenad after a few days of it saying sold. Luckily ads expire so it will expire amd not be available anymore.
  21. Once sold it is a good idea to put sold on the ad for a few days so that people that were interested can now have closure in their lives knowing it is sold before the ad gets deleted
  22. Lol..not nice left hanging...wondering...sleeples nights...cold sweats...nightmares I have enquired about ads only to say its sold, then flipping say so on the ad so we all know its sold.
