    aaah...so there was a slight chance that item(s) coupld perhaps not fit and the seller would be stuck with them after you'd walk away not taking it?? The guy probably soild it outright (i.e. no conditions attached..) to your competing bidder...I cannot really blame him...

    Just read the brilliant report from @batmanza... "What a sight, in front of me was a mountain and etched to it was the most amazing trail that seemed to go on and on and on.     I recon the only people that can reliably give a comment on this thread are the ones that have done at least 3+ Epics ...they can tell us if it was easier or not!! everything else is just couch speculation...mine included :blush:

    Absolutely not! I think people has just invested too much to take it lightly...their preperation was beter than in years before... Folks recon that stage 1 & 2 conditions was as difficult as it has ever been!! And yet only 3% drop out?? Better Preperation, I say!

    Yesterday's highlights package showed several riders joining the route again from behind one of the water points...surely they "stole" at least 10 -20m ...are they also getting 1hr penalties??

    Very interesting comment....when the track is not marked with tape...when is it legal to leave the route / course / jeeptrack? / dirtroad / whatever...It surely will be matter of just choosing another (lesser travelled) line? 5m over a distance of 100+km?? C'mon...

    Yip, was going to comment exactly that! It was Bulls (Platt) Sauser... No wonder all the Pro's carry GoPro's (I found it ironic - they shave evry gram off the bike, yet they put a camera on...)...it is for that exact reason...proof of infringements...what has this race come to??

    must agree! The oil seal i took out was fairly OK...and clean as new after i washed them in a bit of propyl alcohol. I'm keeping them for a back-up...the seals i took off a bit rough, and think they might not be 100%...but next time I'll just remove the lowers legs without taking seals off...If all lokks OK, them seasl stay on - just replace the oil!!
