    Pump track

Don't want to brag too much...but come to Somerset west and you will have a pump track (after our short course is finished)...Go Wannabee's... https://www.facebook.com/groups/279283793200/10152009510353201/?notif_t=group_comment_reply
  4. JA, GREAT first post - especially after midnight....drink much? have no buddies to irritate?
  5. Have you tried the 28.125??? It will be all the rage in 2016!!
  6. It's actually VERY EASY to follow such an arguement - especially when you have come face-to-face with riders telling you EXACTLY that!! They are trying to beat so-and-so's time on starva...hence riding that specific section of trail... :cursing:
  7. YES!!! EXACTLY this issue has lead to a trail closure from last year's Epic...all those stravassholes were directly esponsible!!
  8. i don't have tasebuds THERE... what's the point then??
  9. 2 days to go... and I see no replies from Hubbers? is nobody joining me on Sunday? It's OAK VALLEY after all....
  10. I'd like some specifics, please...what exactly is going wrong?
  11. Erm...but it's THIN...don't think you'll be able to infate it enought to fit a 29er MTB???
  12. yip, basically...there will be a bit more of an organised event...a couple of words beforehand.. CAfe Pronto on site for your coffee needs. then ride & enjoy with your / my mates...there will be a couple of set times to go on the rail...but basically you can do as you wish...it will be ongoing till 14:00
  13. Just a B U M P guys please do not forget about this one...try and make it if you can!! will be a great gesture + cool riding at OAK Valley!!
  14. And THAT folks...is how it's done...
  15. I did not touch the damper assembly... only wanted to do the minor routine service...
  16. Ok here's the thing... When I emptied out the damper oil...I made sure i'd be able to "measure" the amount that came out... was around ~40ml...WITH THE ONE LEG MUCH MORE THAN THE OTHER...(the CTD side..) it took some time for more oil to drip out of the inners of the LH side... I do know that sometime the factory fill is not always up to scratch (a.k.a Johan B communications). {both the oil foams were still plenty full of oil ...} and there can be a bit of oil loss due to weeping onto stanchions...but THAT much??/ Not possible... So, now to the damper issue..what could have caused the observed issue of "reversal" of my CTD dial?? It damps out on the Descend side while the Climb setting seems to be full open... Only thing i did was to set the rebound to "middle" i.e halfway between slow/fast before i removed the small set screw... did nothing else. Any ideas? Apart from that - the performance is still 100% - I cannot see any obvious difference...just it is a nice, clean system... Condition of oil drained from oil bath... Stanchions looks pristine still...
  17. Hmmm...a 1-man picnic... sounds like Borat's hand party?? he he he...
  18. 72 views...no quick answer/confirmation for me???
  19. Just to check with someone in the know...My reading of the Fox charts said 30ml in each leg (29er fork). I did this - yesterday, serviced the dust seals. What i can see now it seems that my Climb / Trail / Decend selection is opposite from waht it usually was...can this be? PS: service is not difficult at all...the oil was pretty gunky and the oil foam was pretty dirty...stanchions are still pristine...this afer 12months of use.
  20. May the WINDS of fortune blow on you all!!!
  21. On the money!!  At last....Phew.
  22. Should have raced today..I was out at Cape point ....and the leaves did not even stir...the entire day!! Perfect conditions ....or "die stilte voor die storm??"
  23. By the way - if there are up country folk that wish to perhaps make a donation...I'll find out about banking details...just let me know.
  24. Fantastic!! @Hairy - you've beat me to the post... I, for one will be there! I do not know Vissie in a personal capacity, but have always marvelled at his passion for MTB...he's started trails there in the 90's already. C'mon folk ...let's forget about all the ugly media hype surrounfding our sport of cycling and LETS GET BACK TO BASICS!! I.e. go and enjoy our riding and show our appreciation for a fellow MTB enthusiast!! See you at Oak Valley on the 16th...
