Well for me it was easy as the only franchise there that doesn't completely suck is Star Wars and thats mainly due to nostalgia. Haven't made it through an episode of any of the others... Real geeks prefer to read sci-fi
There are some fun bits on the course- I've been riding bits and pieces as it has been built over the last couple of months. Large number of riders up there lately - but think with exams on now it might not be as busy.. Can link it up with g-spot, Eden and the top trail and get a pretty decent ride in.
Need some shoe recommendations. Bought Brooks Cascadia 9s last year (R1400 on special)- getting close to needing a new pair now... Just saw the Cascadia 10s are 2K Any recommendations around <1500?
Good to see trails built at Banhoek. The reason I stopped going up near there (old trails nearby) was the safety aspect, its close to some danger spots... Hope traffic through there will make it safer and not a target. Or am I just worrying too much?
Cool, so maybe meerendal to warm up then head over to conters to play. If I'm going to come all the way for one, may as well make a day of it. Any of the others worth doing? The don't get mentioned much...
yeah, that looks like a great event. Also crashed out pretty bad on this race last year, so determined to conquer it! dates currently clash with a work trip though... dammit - see what happens!

Depends on the seed bank.. Alien species may be a problem but too early to tell. Acacias etc. can throw down enormous amounts of seed and are faster to regenerate than lots of natives. But yeah, lots of speculation about it, see in a few months.
Even though its illegal building, who would really stop a few guys heading up to do some work? I'll take some photos later in the week of some of the places I think could be repaired. But yes, the 2 main lines in the forest are still great, just some of the structures are worn down..
Yeah, I love riding the forest and then along the top section above gspot, back down to coetzenberg side past horses etc. I remember some old jumps and dips etc on the bottom left hand corner of Eden (standing at main gate that side looking up at mountain). Would be interested in resurrecting that route. Is that part of DH track? Kinda just fades into overgrowth now
