    Cricket......

If Clarke doesn't make a tonne in the next 3 innings and Australia goes down without much of a fight now.... Smith will be captain.

Most embarrassing innings in test match history - Jim Maxwell just called it.

    Cricket......

Broad 7/11, best figures prior were 7/44. Innings now being compared to the 2nd innings at Newlands 2011 (which is the origin of the thread)

Aus press is putting forward lists of names for replacing Rogers, Watson and Clarke... Can't see teams, is Siddle playing this one?
  9. MUCH BETTER. Hope some pics of the final build up soon?
  10. So not only do I have watch out for dudes trying to mug me, but also a bunch of cowboys on bikes..

Ashes is pretty exciting today btw. 17 wickets down in 4 sessions.

Well it is in England! In Aus, Ian Chappell, Mark Taylor, Bill Lawry and until recently, the late Richie Benaud, all provide commentary. Taylor is a horrible enunciator, so no loss there. Border and S. Waugh have never got into media. Annoying as he is as a person, Shane Warne gives fantastic analysis. Never a captain though

Ugly start here by the Aussies.
  16. Paarl is temping me, but I've already done a couple of races this month (Bastille, Delheim).. Anyway, entered the dirty double in Wellington in August. 10km trail run then 25km on the bike. Looking forward to it!
  17. Going to head up there Saturday then
  18. I probably wouldn't enter/exit off the Bottleray rd side if I'm by myself tbh. Maybe over-cautious, but its that time of year...
  19. Yep, seems to be a good option for someone who isn't too serious about XC or Enduro races, but wants something capable and fun! Intersted to see one with a good paint job, and also see some rider reports in this thread!
  20. Like the geometry of the Parkwood, not so keen on logo design on it.. Interested to know how it goes as an all day trail basher/ fun bike, as well as doing the odd race (50km max) when needed...
  21. Devil's Peak are releasing a lager soon too!
  22. ps < 3 pints the night before a trail run or mtb race seems to be a nice balance.
  23. Checked out the Honingklip brewery the other day. Unpretentious little joint, good food and decent beer selection. They make Belgium style ales amongst other things, and like to experiment too. Picked up a few of the stouts (fantastic) and the Dubbel (Belgian Brown Ale) to bring home. Still loving the Stellenbrau Lager (although it must be said, its perfect out of a bottle, not so much on tap) and the CBC Pilsner. There are getting to be so many craft breweries now.. This is what happened to me back in Aus, just got inundated with new beers every week and you eventually just give up trying new beers and stick with a few favourites.
