  1. Well I had a lekker time spectating, checking out the talent on and off the track Atleast I got to chear for Barbie, Dubber88 and Merida Man. Well done to Burry on his win, was nice to see the ding-dong battle between him and Buys. I was quite surprised by Brendon Davids who seemed to be flailing a bit at the end, Louis Bressler Knipe (sp?) got quite a gap on him at the finish. Maybe jetlag had gotten to him a bit. Was good to see James Reid racing as well, though I heard he a had a puncture ? Andrew Warr (sp?) was also there along with another KZN lad, but seemed this was still a bit early in the season for them and maybe not their style of riding. Was surprised to see Bryce Munro not racing. Lastly, well done to Joel Hieber, he even managed to stick with Burry and Phillip for a bit. Definitely a guy to watch in future ! I did not go there myself but my friend did comment that the bathrooms really were a bit of a mess, maybe some porta potties would help next time. Looking forward to doing the next race if possible. WW. Ps. will post some video when my friend is done with the editing
  2. What type of riding do you want to do? SPeed, distance etc ? I'm keen just need to shake off this ITB issue

  7. Should be valid in the US yes, where it was bought. As others have said best would be to contact them directly in the US and find out what they can do. Will obviously depend on what happened to the helmet and what their terms are. From their helmet manual : "SPECIALIZED NO-FAULT HELMET CRASH POLICY For helmets purchased Internationally, please contact the Authorized Dealer or Distributor in your local market. For helmets purchased in the USA, please contact your Specialized Dealer. Visit WWW.SPECIALIZED.COM for the latest information." "ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY The following information pertains to helmets purchased in the USA only. Specialized Bicycle Components, Inc. warrants to the Original Purchaser of this product that the product is free from defects of material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of one (l) year from the date of the original purchase. If within one (l) year from the date of the original purchase, this product is found to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use or service, Specialized Bicycle Components, Inc. will, at its sole option, repair or replace the product without charge, provided that the Original purchaser returns the product to an Authorized Dealer indicating the specific reasons for returning the product and proof of date of purchase. Specialized does not warranty any helmet damaged by heat. THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY TO, AND IS VOID AS TO, EFFECTS OR PHYSICAL DAMAGE RESULTING FROM ABUSE, NEGLECT, IMPROPER REPAIR, IMPROPER FIT, ALTERATIONS, MODIFICATIONS, OR USE CONTRARY TO THAT INTENDED BY THE MANUFACTURER. 15. Think you mean the XCOSA.co.za xc races in Fountains. Have a look on events and their site
  16. Yep I'll rest it, but I'm going to need to find something to keep me busy, last run was Saturday am and I'm going crazy allready. Atleast I can swim and do low key excercise
  17. Cute coming from the guy who looks like he's pregnant
  18. Yep just bought one, could barely do a roll on it at the physio. I do bruise easily but yoh, my leg looks like I got bunkered playing paintball
  19. Did a quick 5k road run on Saturday morning and late in the day I felt a bit of a niggle in my right leg. Went to go see the physio today and surprise-surprise, I have an ITB injury. Apparently as my feet are virtually flat they are causing tension and compensation when I run, which moved up the leg and screwed it all up. She was quite surprised that I can actually run at all hehe. Seems my flexibility has helped me out to prevent previous issues. Had quite a painful massage, going back for more treatment and have to do some excersises she gave me. Can do moderate excersise but this will be a 6 week process, so there goes the start of my season... Anyway I'm off to go buy a foam roller and wollow in my own self-pity WW.
  20. OK so it's official I have an ITB issue so have to sit this one out Will probly come and watch, friends of mine might do some video as well. If anyone needs some help with seconding let me know. Can bring a set of 26'' 9 speed wheels and tools for neutral support
  21. Dylan vd Merwe says it's a good idea in one of Caveman's vids on the Spez site
  22. Hmmm maybe if I heal up by then
  23. Can someone post a pic of the actual tacs ? Sure tyre liners would stop them ?
  24. Please let us know how the service goes, think I should give them a try as I need to drive that way from Pta anyway and the bike could use some TLC before the year's racing starts
