  1. This saturday the 7th ? Think I should be available to help. Is there a reason for the 2:30 start though ? Dit gaan moer warm wees !
  2. Would be keen, let me know some more details and what happens
  3. Very happy with my KCNC SC Bone handlebar, no issues with 3 years of usage. Weighed in at 116g I think for the uncut bar in OS clamp size
  4. Can;t speak from experience as I'm on a 26" bike but I think the Maxxis Ardent with the EXO sidewall protection should offer the grip and protection you need. Paired it with an Ikon or Aspen on the back and you should be laughing mate
  5. Problem with the marketing is the huge lead time that magazines need, around 3 months I think the artwork needs to be in before the actual ad is run in the mag. Also creates a pull effect from the customer, which is good for them but sucks when you can't get hold of it.
  6. Hmmm seems The Hub resizing the pic screwed it up a bit, how can I post the full size ?
  7. This seems like it could be applicable
  8. Thanks for all our hard work ER24, it's really appreciated !
  9. I am using Compressport R2 leg sleeves for running and recovery and I am very happy with their fit, performance and quality. Can't comment on any other brands as I haven't used them. I would recommend sleeves and not socks as leg and foot size do not always corelate.
  10. Cool will definitely go check it out
  11. Ag nee man so unnecessary ! RIP riders
  12. Can't really help much, though I know that the Garmin usesd .fit files, not sure what the Bryton uses
  13. Looks cool, so what's it about ?
  14. My choice would also look at if you want to use UST or foldable tyres, as Stan's are made for the latter. While some of the other wheels are UST wheels (rims) so fitting should be less of a hassle
  15. Thanks to Squier I just purchased part one of my SS project. Will be using the frame and what ever else I can find or use from the bike
  16. Last time I checked Bester Cycles in Waterkloof had a set of Vittoria Cross tyres, give them a buzz
  17. Oh ok cool thanks. No more bridge incidents please
  18. Jip Joel Hieber is the current No.1 in under 8min. Having never ridden at the park, how is the lap ? Hilly, rocky, flowing etc ?
  19. Going to visit this place again from 13Jan, this time with trailshoes, running shoes and a road bike in addition to the mtb. Should be fun ! Any specific road routes to do in the area ?
  20. With you on that, AFIK anti-venom is made by injecting horses with the venom so it forms anti-bodies that combat the venom (feel free to correct me here) so basically the anti-venom is more venom and needs to be of the specific snake I would think one can try suck out as much of the venom as possible and then make some kind of tourniqet (sp?) to stop it spreading further. Heat or cold can also be applied but that differs per venom type.
  21. I really like the Falke road cycling socks, length is good and its thin with good ventilation. The road running sock is also excellent (the unpadded version) However their mtb and trail running socks are horendous ! Sockguy socks also suck, they dont fit well and irritating toe seems. Shimano makes some reall nice mtb sock - padding underneath and vented op top, the road type socks don't work well when you need to do some walking on mtb rides. First Ascent makes the best trail running sock I've tried - no seams on the sides of the toes, well vented on top of the foot, padded underneath. Bamboo and merino wool mix, have walked 6h and run 2,3h in groenkloof no problem
  22. Groenkloof is sharp, I would stay clear of fountains though as the fence is dodgy near the railway and people can gain access that way
  23. Love this ! What it needs are some Ti Eggies, THM Claviculas or the like, R1 brakes modded with carbon lever and Ti bolts, single Tune Wassertrager (sp) cage, foam grips, scrubz rotors, kmc x10sl chain and then drop the bar ends I would love to own and a build a project bike like this. Weight Weenie approves.
  24. Hey all Seeing as Christmas is almost upon us, I though a thread with cool christmas deals or gift ideas would be a cool idea. Maybe have catagories or price classes ? I'm looking for some sort of sound system for my dad to go with the lcd TV, anything on that front ? Looking to go Stereo with an amp, about 5k budget. Room is not very big, will be for TV/Blu-ray/Music. Also any cool cycling gagdget under R250 ? Thanks, WW.
  25. Verry happy with my H14, had the H7 but found it a bit under powered. Use it with a MJ808E on the bars. Also use it for running, works a treat with the extension cord and the battery pack stored in my running pack.
