  1. Ive got KWAY bags that do this too. Might be the local canvas suppliers problem.
  2. It was only a matter of time before James Hoffman entered the chat 😆 If you have to consider bean to cup, this is a great comparison --> If you're already invested in one, learn to dial it in -->
  3. Honestly id rather just grab a mint tea instead of anything bean to cup - not even being dramatic - even a hot chocolate - it would depress me. I totally get the use case for convenient and less messy coffee - it just doesnt work.

The only video coverage and opinions we will ever need for Unbound 2024 👏🏼 🔥
  5. Are you prepared for sub par - under extracted coffee?
  6. quite pricey for those kits - did you find this cheaper more oem than just re-lacing your wheel onto the right hub? this would work great, but sometimes the end caps themselves need to be adapted (the rockshox SID has something it must have inherited from the RS-1 days that i need to remove to use on another bike) Have reached out, thx for the ref!
  7. This ebike speed sensor magnet mount was quick an easy to do. Spez charge around R300 for the same. (Bikes come standard with centerlock sensor, so needed something for a 6-bolt rotor).
  8. Did you end up solving or sourcing a part?
  9. The CREO is the one to aim for, im on my second one: 1 - Limit cutoff is 40kmh standard. Most EU focused firmware cuts at 25kmh which is a previous frustration for me. 2 - Its actually light enough to pedal, on an average ride the motor is on for < 20% of distance covered. 3 - Subjective, but resale value on the creo is pretty good.

Super high quality production - the story behind some of the athletes is very "drive to survive" better than daytime telly 😆
  11. Primoz with a crash today ....

yeah - bonkbros will sort this out for sure - but even then will be speculation. MB road with DJ for sometime before 2nd group split, moving KS and MB to group 3. I was a tad surprised. (Consider DJ himself just having been off the bike for that throat ulcer thingy he has a week back). Either my theory holds - too much volume, they were both overtrained, or Unbound just wasnt as important WRT winning future Lifetime events, or the series itself, in which case they used this as a training event.

I mean you realise that a forum is made exactly for this purpose right? Gatekeeping is an opinion too i guess.
  14. Just some thoughts after a couple of events using these gels: 1-its very thick, thicker in consistency than products like GU 2-in cold temps it gets even thicker making it difficult to squeeze out, so recommend putting in your back to "keep warm" on cooler days 3-dosing 4 portions out of one package is tricky if pin point carb(g) accuracy is what you want. i would definitely use it again, but not as the only gel i carry.

Matt specifically doubled his volume from what he did leading up to his win for BWR California. I don't believe a linear volume target based on an event a month later can scale especially for an athlete not having done that before - in my amateur opinion that is ...

I have a thought on the huge block Matt and Keegan did in Tucson up to past week --> it was way too much volume and intensity a week before Unbound ...

  19. i dunno - i recall alot of cow-pies through the course last year - hygiene is underestimated. Side Note - lesson from Gallows - label/tag your Uswe packs people!
  20. Id argue that a hydration pack is mandatory for gravel/MTB. I find it impossible to keep up with hydration intake from bottles vs the ease of just taking sips from an USWE/CamelBak. Then mud on bottle spout, and potential for getting ill - totally a slam dunk. Hell id honestly even remove the bottle cages and use that space for a frame bag for nutrition, spares, portable speaker etc 😝
  21. That sand doesnt stick at all, so mud clearance not so much the issue as just finding grip IMO - 2.5-3bar 38c over 2bar 47c could be interesting. Mullet setup bru - except business in the back, party in the front 😂
  22. https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/dual-suspension-bikes/727301/specialized-epic-evo-size-l Somebody buy this already!
  23. I'm seeing a smooth riding line on the left edge 😆 What are the tyre selection opinions? Slush demands thinner in my opinion, potentially even a 38c.
  24. Jumping ahead, would be cool if there was a "collect em all" plaque collection across the major gravel events in the WC i.e Swartberg 100, Gallows, Ronde van Riebeek, Around the Pot, Race 2 Sea etc The Western Cape's own lifetime series 🥇- points table, leaderboard, overall champion etc
