  1. From Brandon Els' Twitter: 'The likely cause of Kev's crash today was his rotor. It was neither SRAM or Shimano. I post this to stop the bs speculation going on! ' http://twitter.com/TheOldCootBiker So, Million Dollar questions. What happened/went wrong with whatever rotor he was using? What rotors was he using? To continue speculation, DG got a pair of Scrub rotors. I dont know if Kevin was using them yesterday.
  2. That is why I carry mine. It's a motivational tool.
  3. I would say that they are more light weight cross country wheels than strong trail wheels. I dont have a pair, so I am just guessing.
  4. They snatched defeat from the jaws of victory
  5. Its their integrated speed sensor - you just add the magnet to the wheel. There is also a cadence sensor on the outside on the chain stay. From Trek Website: DuoTrap seamlessly integrates the computer sensor into the frame to measure speed, distance, and cadence with no added aerodynamic drag. It works with all the major ANT+ wireless technology players, including Bontrager, Garmin, Powertap, and SRM.
  6. It looks quite understated to me. Not slathered in branding or sponsor's logos. @Gummibear: Is it more expensive than any other Trek 6.9SSL ?
  7. Yupp! He joins a long line of repeat offenders.
  8. Some of the articles 'accuse' Fabian of using these bearings. As if its unfair or illegal. Just carrying on from the silly motor accusations?
  9. Which one? (I mean, dont they all, so be more specific... )
  10. Is that for a bare frame, Frame and fork Or complete bike?
  11. Maybe Gravel Donkey can help FRAIL find his Wig?
  12. You cant base your choice on windy days on Chappies - you will be riding further than that when you do some proper training. If you are focusing on Triathlon, get some proper aero wheels. (maybe some Black Spades for R9k - 50mm carbon clinchers) Keep your current wheels for training and windy days.
  13. Nice idea. But only $2 from each kit is donated?
  14. McLaren Venge will cost £5,000 for the frameset and forks. Claimed weight for the frame only is 950g, with the complete module (frame, fork, seatpost, crankset) tipping the scales at 2.07kg for the McLaren and 2.18kg for the S-Works Venge.
  15. Why?
  16. I thought you are measured by your performance in the Argust
  17. Oi! Leave me out of this! (this is another thread that I can't believe is still going)
  18. That would be great!
  19. We fly to Durbs @ 6:30 that day, so we also miss out. I dont think riding Sani2C counts towards allowing us to vote under special circumstances...
  20. What about the difference in fork travel? 80mm on the SB vs. 100mm on the Giant? Otherwise that is a pretty impressive spec on the SB for that price!
  21. I like the way you think. I was wondering if its July 2011 or more like July 2012 ? (You know, to give everyone time to edit their footage etc)
  22. I saw plenty of guys chucking their gel sachets. I felt terrible when my bar wrapper blew out of my hand as I was trying to stuff it under my shorts' seam. On the rivet in Group C through Scarborough and near the front, I wasn't about to slam on anchors to go and fetch it. (embarrassed)
  23. Its been a while since I heard anyone talk about Bowman's in a complimentary tone. Is Shan still there?
  24. Awesome! When is the planned release?
  25. Nice pics. Are they your own?
