Where do you get that figure from? I think your logic is also back to front - People buy from CRC because they are being ripped off here in the first place. How about bike shops make things cheaper and then people wouldn't have to buy from CRC?

I usually overcater and have quite a bit of food left over. Rather that than being hungry... By the time you get to the DC, you should have done a few long rides and know what you like and what works for you - stick to that and dont try anything different on the day. Race day is not the time for experiments...

I think that is called an 'Assometer' Ladies saddles are slightly shorter as well as wider. Very few shops have test saddles - very expensive unless supplied by the distributer. Some shops do have Fizik test saddles though. Bright orange ones. Beg, borrow or steal a few as trial and error can get expensive.
