  1. Thanks for all the responses. I took it in to BMC this morning. They had a quick look, lubed everything and put it back together while I waited. Nothing major and no charge! They rock!
  2. My rear Ksyrium Elite has developed an interesting noise over the last few days. When I spin the wheel it gives a low whine/screaming sound. Should I a) ignore and just keep riding B) panic and get it seen to?
  3. Kinda like bar ends on risers?
  4. Good question! I am looking for one for my S520.
  5. Importing clothing will attract import duty over and above VAT. Do a search, there are plenty of threads that cover this.
  6. 1 1/8' is your steerer tube diameter 31.8mm is the diameter of your handlebars - generally refered to as 'OS' This is the standard for most modern bikes.
  7. Olympic Cycles has a remote lockout kit for a rear shock. (could be for 2011 only) Dont know details - give them a call.

  9. I know they were busy with works on Bain's Kloof a while ago. Are they finished? Is it ridable from the Wellington side?
  10. My wishlist/order is dead in the water. No stock with no date. Go ahead without me.
  11. I got my Gatorskins and GP4000s from them.
  12. The Gatorskins are quite a bit heavier than the GP4000s. I would equate that to being a bit tougher. Though there are some things that will go through or damage ANY tyre. And if you got a puncture with one tyre, there is no way of knowing that you wouldnt have got one with a different tyre. I have no experience with the others.
  13. UD is Unidirectional Carbon and 3K is 3000 fibres per square inch or meter or something in the carbon weave on the surface. If you look at the pics of the spacers, you will see the finish is different on each. Its so you can match the finish on your bars or stem or frame. (see attached pics for 3K carbon)
  14. The insurance company negotiates with the shop to get a discount for EFT. So instead of you getting the cash and shopping around for the best deal, you lose out on the cash discount. And in this case have VERY limited choice. A mate of mine had major fights with Outsurance. After asking nicely for the payout several times, he threatened to get the ombusdman involved as he was losing out. Voila! Cash in the bank and he shopped around and got a great deal on a new bike elsewhere.
  15. Me too. Would def. recommend Peter @ iCycling!
  16. I installed it fine on my laptop with Windows 7. I struggled with the IR adaptor and eventually got a new Polar one (black) I do have a problem when I update the software though. So I just dont do it.
  17. Hmmm. Those are pretty good value for money packages.
  18. I don't know about racism, but there is certainly aggression on The Hub...
  19. Baden Powel drive runs along False Bay to somewhere near Somerset West. I dont think its a safe road to ride on. The other option may be to head up to Milterton, over to Durbanville and then down to Somerset West via Kuilsriver. Quite a detour though.
  20. They are great. I highly recommend
  21. Ha Ha! You are right! Maybe he had a hire car while in JHB...
  22. TdF Smackdown! Schleck Bro's will be tag teaming whoever shows their face upfront. Alberto or otherwise. and with new and improved pharmaceutical enhancements, its gonna be great to watch.
  23. Mind blowing stuff! (I downloaded it in HD and watched in on my widescreen @ work = AWESOME!)
  24. Sounds like you met Jack Parow!
  25. A thing of beauty! Begging to get dirty. And then clean again... Enjoy her, and I hope you get many happy miles together.
