  1. Gaze charging hard!
  2. Seems to be in good form (based on his performance on the track)
  3. And then he smoked Schwarzbauer in the last corner
  4. Sanparks building trails !
  5. Having ridden neither, I cant comment on a comparison. But I would imagine that pedalling efficiency would be more of a function of lockout than shock orientation. And nothing will be more efficient than a hardtail in that regard
  6. +1 for the Ciovita ones I see that they about the same as the Giro Bravo long finger gloves, but with no fiddly velcro straps that dont work after a while. Also, they have no padding on the palms, which I prefer.
  7. OMG Where is that ? I have been sick for 2 weeks and am overwhelmed by wanderlust sitting at my desk
  8. I finally got around to watching this and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to Season 2! (I also noticed that its based on 4 books, so they cant drag this on for too long like some other series)

  10. It's only R10k more than the SL7 All bikes at this level are crazy Have you see what Cervelo frames are going for ?
  11. That is quite a machine! (surprisingly not more expensive than the outgoing SL7) I like that they are instantly tangible and in many places, actually available. Many other press releases show stuff that is still MONTHS away! Silly question: Why is there no Kermit paint on the leading edge of the front tyre ?
  12. Its not like he didn't fire warning shots during the week https://www.instagram.com/p/CvhpLl1vWKC
  13. Candice finished 2nd!
  14. On a clear day, you can see it from Durbanville Hills 🧐 It will be in the background of all the photos 🤣
  15. I imagined that it would be hosted out of Town where there would a bit of space and logistics and road closures would less of an issue. Perhaps using some of the Durbanville/Tygerberg trail network or similarly the Stellenbosch area with its massive choice to trails there.
  16. Raffle tickets bought ! My bike will be on display next week.
  17. There are a few posts about gas geysers on this thread, but I didn't see any recommendations. Can anyone share their experiences on size/output and brands to go for or avoid ?
  18. Has anyone had experience with having solar panels installed on a asbestos tiled roof ? Is there a way to remove the tiles where the fixing bolts would go and patch over that? This would leave the rest of the roof untouched and no drilling through tiles would be required. I understand that asbestos is highly dangerous and working on it is not allowed. Is there a legal work-around ?
  19. That bike deserves one ! Its a purchase that you will never regret. It changed the way I ride.
  20. Lovely! Dig that colour. Even though you went for the XC build, isn't it screaming for a dropper ?
  21. https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/grips-and-bar-tape/634604/togs-usa Not sure how these compare
  22. W2W Day 1: 70km with 1350m vert W2W Day 2: 65km with 1200m vert W2W Day 3: 65km with 920m vert Mast (from Bootleggers): 25km with 870m vert (and a lot of that climbing and descending is on tar, so much easier than single track or dirt roads)
  23. Awesome pics I feel that I have been holding back a bit!
  24. At least they were polite. Its usually a one liner. Its like some strange form of window shopping
  25. Lekker shop with good okes, but I am not sure if online is their focus. Best to contact them and confirm before paying.
