Good tools are worth spending money on. They do the job properly and last a long time. Bad tools could cost you a lot of money in damaged parts in the long run.

Many people don't understand what being a weight weenie is about. Practicality and economics often fly out the window - so suggestions like go to the toilet before you ride or eat less after you ride are deemed to be ridiculous. Being a WW is a hobby for some, and a religion for others. Its about titanium bolts, and aluminium rotors, double chainrings and carbon doo dats. Its about 5g here and 2g there and possibly a bottle of laxatives.

What is the airline policy here? How many of you jetsetters have flown with your bombs? Off to Sani next week, and need to know before I pack. (gotta be careful with the wording here - don't want to get arrested at check in!)

let's not go there. The thread is nice and possitive so far. I was thinking of the thread from a week or two ago about the father and son cycling without a helmet. They also swore at the person who inquired.

It seems that there is a type of cyclists that thinks they are bullet proof, but also quite aggressive. These seem the type that would also flip the finger if a car hooted 'cos they were riding 2/3 abreast. A real 'ph#ck you' attitude. These are the types that give cyclists a bad name.

This is terrible. My thoughts and prayers go to his family. I hate seeing stories like this. Its so sad. It weighs heavily on my mind every time I swing my leg over my bike. I am looking forward to the Argus being done and dusted - That's my road season over.
