  1. Shouldn't that go in the ugly bikes thread?
  2. https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/saddle-bags-and-on-bike-storage/723617/ranger-speedsleev
  3. I sent wheel via Courier Guy - it was about R400.00 or so. Wheels were boxed at LBS.
  4. Did they send letters to Specialized as well ? Or, perhaps Specialized sent letter to the organisation telling them to rename their event! Or did they meet at an unnamed wine farm and come to a friendly agreement over a few bottles of red ?
  5. I'm a great fan of the product for road and gravel. Been using them for a while (my wife and I) and now my mates are catching on too. Small/compact tool in your pocket or toolbag. Quick and easy to deploy. Effective in most punctures that we have had. Its hard to compare how well they work to other products as each puncture scenario is different. But ja, they're expensive.
  6. Perhaps you could change the saddle bag to one that doesn't have straps on the seatpost. Some ideas here: https://www.cyclingnews.com/features/best-saddle-bags-for-your-road-bike/ Or maybe you could most of your cargo to a tool bottle of you don't use both cages. Or maybe a top tube mounted 'bento box' as mentioned above
  7. There's a joke about the village bicycle in there somewhere
  8. I see that they have quite a specific computer and light mount system Some of those bars just have 2 screw holes underneath, and then there are various simple mounts that go with that.
  9. What bars do you have ?
  10. Main Road through Woodstock is being resurfaced, which is great! It will be interesting to see what happens with the bike lane, which was a bit fictitious anyway... Oh, and coming over the Bakery Bridge towards Amazon, the new traffic flow and intersections there will be challenging. Unless there is something formal in place, I see a lot of traffic turning right from Observatory towards Maitland causing issues.
  11. Nice exposure she is getting: https://www.cyclingnews.com/features/friday-euro-am-i-want-it-a-lot-more-kim-le-court-puts-mauritius-on-the-map/
  12. Feast your eyes on this bad boy (I am so confused) https://www.ryuger.com/products/ryuger-eidolon-carbon-e-bike?variant=39543427334284 $ 20 000.00
  13. What a great adventure! Well done !! How many jars of peanut butter did you go through ?
  14. +1 for Thule I tried 2 other budget options and then got the VeloCompact 3. My only regret was not doing that first as I wasted a lot of money to get to that point.
  15. Anyone want to hazard a guess on the price tag ? I'm pretty sure it'll make the S-Works seem quite ordinary... https://www.instagram.com/p/C6Y4RTBOF-k/
  16. And Passoni: https://www.rouleur.cc/blogs/desire-journal/passoni-year-of-the-dragon-modern-italian-craftsmanship-meets-ancient-chinese-art
  17. Ja, this all seems to familiar. Spidey senses are tingling. Thanks for confirming. If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck... I will not continue the chat with him.
  18. I have a bike up for sale on Facebook, BikeHub and Gumtree. There have been a few nibbles, one oil rig worker and now I get this guy. Google isn't coming up with any hits as a known scammer, but the Modus Operandi feels similar (he is in America, but wants to buy this bike for his son etc). I don't know which advert he is responding to. He contacted my via SMS (smscaster.com), which raised the first alarm. collinsgregoryjohn@gmail.com is his 'personal email'
  19. Awesome! https://www.instagram.com/p/C6UxUo7vcho
  20. Oh Wow. OK. The road is now a river.
  21. Why ? Storm damage again ? And when you say 'unrideable', I hear people say 'Challenge Accepted'.
  22. Trek UK are doing the same thing: https://www.trekbikes.com/gb/en_GB/trekfest-sale/
