  1. Strava Beacon and Garmin Livetrack combine, don't they ? We use that and Life360. But I supposed that they all rely on signal and data.
  2. Gonna have to rejig that list
  3. What is wrong with the current shock ?

  10. Or possibly the opposite ? Reaping the rewards of the Epic miles and everything that went with it.
  11. That crash a few years ago really had a big effect on her body. She never really got back to her strength. Great to see her racing though

  14. The Cross Cape route is not a formal thing. I have done it on my MTB and GG (pro's and cons for each) The roads exist between the towns. You can break it up into your own manageable bits. You can do it either way (Stellies & Plett) You don't have to do the whole thing (first few days or last few days) You book accommodation in the towns (I used Booking.com, but there are lots of platforms) Create your own route and load to your device. As you can see from this thread, logistics is a thing. You can ride supported (with your own follow vehicle) or self supported. This is obviously part of your logistics. Its safe (within common sense boundaries) Its obviously weather dependent. You cover a lot of ground, so weather is variable. Its awesome and should be on your bucket list. 15. Rent a kombi - drive to Plett - Ride home Winning ! Riding back from George means that you miss the first 2 days, which might be the best, given that they are mostly forest roads. Certainly my favourite.
  16. I have been using the Cinturato H (on my 3rd or 4th set), but they have become as rare as rocking horse poop. But I see that there is a Cinturato Adventure. Has anyone tried those ?
  17. I am running 45's Hoping that my next GG can take 50mm tyres. 'more cushion for the pushin'
  18. Oh. An actual tool bag. Not my riding partner who got lost this morning... 🤡

  20. I would avoid internal routing through an integrated stem from the point of view of road side repairs. It might look awesome (for racing), but its not practical (for touring). But that's just me...
  21. When you're going that fast, brakes are useless anyway...
  22. I must say that I was quite bummed to see that Candice wasn't racing (with or without Kate). I am happy to see that Annika is back. Strong combo (one horse race?)
