  1. I have done a few from Fourways -> kyalami -> Midrand -> centurion It took a while to work out the best route by bike and where to be on pavement , how to get across certain intersections etc https://www.strava.com/routes/4634982 It is a bit long for a commute at current fitness levels however. More truthfully it is hard to get some work done between two >30km commutes I pondering with the idea of leaving a car with clothes , Gym bag etc at office and doing one way home in the afternoon , than back to office the next day and repeat
  2. I would like to see dealers listings separately please . or a Private/Dealer checkbox
  3. I seldom stand , but do experience this when i do . But I am pretty sure I had it with round to
  4. My take as a social Roadie and predominantly MTB, have only done Peyn city 947's And 1 Argus The argus was far better in memory as the last bit was easier and I was able to absorb it all and enjoy the run into the finish , 947 was not nearly as much fun.
  5. I do believe after a very successful event , helped most certainly by the good weather and great stories coming out, it will again sell out While not cheap the event is top top notch
  6. Awesome - my kind off girl , next year i will be faster and get her number !
  7. Some serious OCD and/or basic training coming through in bike alignment
  8. Good on you for saying something , but taking a South African to task seldom goes well !
  9. Both Woolworth's in broad-acres are happy for you to leave your bike inside doors of shop with security guards , they even wave you in when leaving bike outside There is a big biking community that ride from there and Woolworth's seem to realize value of cyclists as customers
  10. Very nice , love the elegance of chain tensioner !
  11. Very chilled holiday ride on promenade Good times Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  14. Go for it , NF is very family friendly and only as hard as you make it. lots of ways to turn back an shoten distance on the long route
  15. Smile I have learnt the hard way to just use mainly just clean water in pack !!! or just hydrate tabs and wash out early, than high concentrate mix in one bottle and clean water to wash off stuff with or reserve in other. Was tinkering with smaller pack for stage races with water points but will stick to a slimmer 3l pack than current and better fill port for the fumble anr rush at water points . Main share is for OP and help his choice ;-)
  16. Ok so courier Dropped off Camelbak classic 2l , very small for a 100Kg guy ;-) and not enough storage V12man you were right , will be returning it for the Lobo ;-)
  17. I did not go for lobo as i like the easy access to the screw top, a down side of the first accent , but did not actively check the lobo , only the Mule I will keep the First Assent 3l for self support rides , I was heading more for less packing space as I err on to much stuff and believe 2l will be enough between WP with a water bottle Albeit warm on the frame as a reserve. Classic was delivered to home today , will test on 2D Berg And Bush and revert. Hmmm i see the rogue has the space for rain jacket ....
  18. Drinking with both hands on bars is the biggest thing for me ;-) 2l should be fine and smaller so you pack in less Camelbak Classic 2 Litre - Black has my vote and has being ordered. The ease to fill at WP and less space to pack unnecessary promoted upgrade from another bigger pack with 3l water
  19. Now compare that to the cost of frequenting the local pub and propping up the bar counter quaffing away !
  20. Ok so certainly not knocking him or whining , I particularly like Cavendish .and get the Olympic pressure 4 wins this time and 30 in total put him in a special league , will miss him on the final day . Was really not aware of the tour of individual races , will need to shut up and read up :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. So up front I don't get all the intricacies of the TDF. It does however seem somewhat wrong for a sprinter to burn himself out on the sprinter type stages win a few than withdraw Seems a bit like going flat out to get the strava KOM segment than getting a lift home with KOM bragging rights !
  22. http://www.aquaspresso.co.za/ The coffee I make is mostly black or Espresso so skipped the milk parts as they are a pain to clean ;-) Went Jura Micro 9 and just use a frother for the odd cappuccino, Also bean to cup is cheaper per cup than Pods but capital outlay more , ave 3 cups a day take about a year to start being more cost effective. but the smell and sound of beans grinding is priceless ....
  23. In fairness us Guys that only use the Cradle to warm up for 94.7 must drive the proper roadies mal ! Back on topic - Its a fast dangerous sport and if a bit of shouting at me when I am getting it wrong makes it safer for all , all good ;-) A thank you afterwards would tone it down and make it ok !
  24. Hey don't suggest a large segment of the voting population should be given a hard time
