  1. I know Fatty likes pain & suffering. He tells us all the time Turk, on the other hand, doesn't seem to enjoy it so much
  2. I'm guessing that's sustainable power over a certain time period (e.g. 20mins)
  3. I also did a TT test at BikeMax, in September last year. I'm sure I've improved since then (it's already 4 months ago!) My average wasn't too impressive: 205w for the 20mins & I weigh 66kg. The 'problem' with my session is that I built up my power throughout, so at the end of the session I was putting out more compared to the start, as opposed to keeping a constant, high output. Are you talking about the Cyclops bikes? That's what I did it on.
  4. What was your average power output for the 20mins?
  5. I agree, I'd do it in the morning, but my alarm always gives me such a fright my heart damn well races!
  6. Could be, but my Specialized tyres are the easiest things in the world to change and they have softer beading & sidewalls...
  7. Ever tried to change/remove a GatorSkin tyre (when fixing punctures or whatever)...!? A mission I tell you! Since beading is so stiff. But they are good for puncture resistance, you don't have to worry about glass or anything, only large stones pretty much, and metal debris from construction sites.
  8. Finally today I managed to ride my rollers with no hands! It may seem easy for some, but I'm so stoke I had to share my excitement...
  9. I think it's cool to see the Pro Tour guys, as it is to see any talented sportsman/woman, cool Shade!
  10. Mud dee, with regards to bunny hopping on and off: I favour life... Standing on the rollers is also a bit dodgy since there's no/very little load on the back wheel.
  11. ... 59 X 12
  12. Yeah, rollers are pretty funny when used the first time! I remember meeting my floor a few times the first night. But now I can go one handed, standing and very almost no hands (i think that's a bit of a dream though!). I also felt the difference quite soon after I started using them - I didn't use them for a while but now I've done 4 sessions in the last 3 weeks, this damn wind can keep me indoors sometimes! Max speed (on Wednesday): 65km/h although I feel that's a bit dangerous when facing a table
  13. A floating disk brake is pretty much what it says on the box, it's a disk which is not fixed in place horizontally, but has a certain degree of 'play' left and right (0.5-1.0mm) allowing the pads to be in permanent contact with the disc. That means instant-on brakes. I remember we used to use them in karting; it took a while to get used to them to say the least!
  14. Team Olympic Cycles
  15. You're right Marius, why should 18 000 people get their results before the 300-odd for Klien J. ? Do you know what the winning time was...? or at least any time from the Elites?
  16. Does anyone know what the winning time was for the elites...?
  17. Where do you see the K.Joost results...? I haven't seen them posted yet?
  18. After doing lots of work at the front for the first 30/35km, I got dropped with 7km to go, lost about 40sec - 1min on the group (in Gr. E now) my legs felt terrible before that wind, so the cross wind really finished me off... I guess it was just one of those days when the body and legs say "no way hose' !" so I came home and swam that was great! How was everyone else's race...?
  19. Hi Cat-i, If it's Shimano you can go to their website and get the documentation on how to adjust the d?railleur. Otherwise, take a screw driver and adjust the screws on the d?railleur (usually the inner screw and usually anti-clockwise for changing down - but I suggest you get the documentation) Don't turn more than a quarter turn at a time, if you do you can adjust it too much which will result in the chain popping off (which just sucks!) Change up and down with the lever while turning the pedals until it changes to the small ring. If it doesn't turn the screw again... Before I knew what I was doing I'd just turn either screw different directions until I had a smooth bike... But I don't advise that method! If I make no sense, I'm sorry, I tried my best
  20. Think that they'll release it on DVD?
  21. Cape Town- Gordon's Bay Date: Sunday, 12th November 2006, 09h00 (from http://www.energadetriseries.co.za )
  22. "brake levers' foremost loine"... what's/where's regarded as the brake levers' foremost loine?
  23. Does anyone know the rules regarding tri-bars for non-pro entrants? I heard something regarding the length of the bars?
