  1. I would also not be happy with the tow ball after that impact.

Put socks in your boxes. More water than usual around.
  3. Going places with a bike that make no sense.
  4. Above the clouds in the McGregor area last week.
  5. Charity, just finishing a small trip to the Cape at the moment. Will finish tomorrow hopefully and the following day or so will be able to help. Sorry away from pc until then.
  6. There are MTB groups of various strengths that ride from Midstream Cycles. More Centurion, but maybe that can work for you? I don't have the details. perhaps give them a call.
  7. Absolutely agree, but if you have deep pockets the Exposure Lights are also worth looking at.
  8. The Giant pumps work well. Heavier and bulkier than some counterparts, but they work.

The 2 spinners have cleaned up the 4th innings again. Good result.
  10. Not in GP, but https://www.cycletouring.co.za/ most probably has the biggest selection of bags in SA.

Good win in Durban. I wonder if SA has ever only bowled spinners in an innings before?
  12. The Race Around Rwanda, which is organised by the same people, is well worth doing for anyone interested in a bikepacking race. Real value for money.
  13. Does anyone have a spare Solaris hanger that they would like to sell? Please message me if you do.
  14. And did you replace the chain too?
  15. I am now cycling with our retired agility dog. He loves the adventure, but the extra 30kg is hard work. We walk the ups. The next step is some bikepacking with him.
  16. I upgraded to a Lyne carbon bar and was blown away by the difference it made to my ride comfort. Well priced too.
  17. Those are pricey for the specs. Maybe I just don't know what new bikes cost?
  18. What would the benefit to CSA be by doing this?
  19. Dawn, we have flown a few times internationally with bikes so can comment on that route, but not on the unaccompanied option. You will have to check the regulations of the airline that you are flying. They will have weight and size restrictions. Some charge for sporting equipment and others give a sporting equipment allowance in terms of size and weight. I choose my airlines around their allowances. Having to pay for extra weight in Dollars adds up very quickly! Do your homework and book your bike on in advance. Don't just arrive at the airport with a bike. A normal cardboard bikebox generally falls within the size restrictions. These can be obtained from bikeshops who are more willing to give them away especially if you use them to package your bike too. They normally charge a nominal fee for this. I always insure my bike for the specific journey as I have heard horror stories of crushed bikes etc. Thus far I have not had to claim fortunately. Flying with bikeboxes has been pretty painless for us. The airports are used to it and most airlines too.
  20. A short bikepacking trip aroung GP and MP on the weekend.
