  1. Now why can't they just put those black decals on the black frame ?
  2. πŸ˜€. Thanks for the advise so far. Appreciated.
  3. Everything to me is a ride.πŸ˜€. Some I pay to do, and some I don't, so stopping to refill is not a big deal, however it has happened that we do longish rides (Vaaldam, Bronkhorstspruit etc...) where you do not have a refilling option, unless you stop and ask a farmer somewhere. These are about 5hrs. Agree on the hydration. Still need to work that one out. Not enjoying a hydration pack.
  4. Was considering this as well, but as stated by David, that would kind of defeat the purpose as it is supposed to be a single source.
  5. What do you do on 6-7 hr rides when using race pro ? I am keen on trying this, but only have 1 bottle available. How may scoops can you force into a 750ml bottle before it becomes to thick ?
  6. Not at all. Done 2 Sani's. Still do not know where to find the results, and don't care. Almost forgot - I did pass some e-bikes, and some passed me. πŸ˜€
  7. Anyone in Gauteng (East Rand area) selling Lyne products ? Interested in some on bike storage, but would like to see the products first before deciding which combination to get.
  8. I don't think so. I've used Ryder with no issues, and now using Gorilla tape with no issues. I think it is more about the care taken when applying than the brand used.
  9. He probably had a couple of Frosties before he typed that.πŸ˜€
  10. Thanks for the reply. I was sure you were suggesting the medium with a 60mm stem (which I am leaning towards), but then I read the highlighted part, and thought, how do I tell Jewbacca that I am confused now without looking very stupid.πŸ˜€
  11. Need some help here. ETT on my HT and DS is around 705mm(incl. stem). Both large frames. Large Tigre frame can get to 715mm with a 35mm stem. Medium would be around the 705mm mark with a 60mm stem. Question : It is stated that the frame is designed to work best with a 35mm stem. Do I go Medium, with some flexibility when changing travel as an example. Or do I go Large, which is probably already to long for me ? Secondly. I am on the heavier side, so climbing is already a bit of a challenge. Currently on around 70deg. HA. Would the 66/67 deg. not make climbing a lot harder ?
  12. Monster has the one long climb (+-5km ??) that you do not have at Buffelsdrift. However, I found that was not the one that is tough. Later in the race you get 2 more short steepish climbs that will drain you. Those can be compared to the climbs you will get at Buffelsdrift. Regarding technical, I think Buffelsdrift is a little more technical on the downhills. Monster has a technical descent after the long climb, and a couple after the other two climbs, but, in my view, slightly easier than buffelsdrift.
  13. My kids are with them. no issues so far. 1 claim without any problems.
  14. We received feedback that the trails are 100%. No damage. Also doing Adventure.
  15. Anyone been to Thaba Trails recently ? Want to go on Saturday for some decent training. Use to do 2 laps (58km, 1100m), mostly green, with some blue thrown in. Is this still possible, or has the route been changed with the development ?
  16. Was that you ? I sat next to your mate at the finish and made the (ill timed) joke about your PB up Suikerbossie due to the fact that you didn't have to carry the extra weight of a saddle bag.πŸ™ˆ
  17. I would love to see this as well. Also my first one.
  18. Now there is something I was also wondering about ??πŸ€”πŸ€”
  19. Yes you can, by using one of these, but you will need to find the correct size for your frame by measuring the ID of the bottom part of the head tube. Only you will know if it is worth spending the money on a 15 year old bike. πŸ˜€
