Never had a problem with Holdfast. Venter Trailer also the agents for them and sell the products with their trailers. Used their hang on bike carrier, brackets and towbar extender. Find it a good solid product.

Does anyone know when entries for 2022 CTCT will open ? Does it normally sell out fast ? Never done this before and want to give it a go in 2022.

My way of thinking as well. First bike was a 2014 Giant Revel, which I upgraded over the next 2 years. Even converted to taper steerer. Then got a nice deal on a Anthem DS frame, and build everything onto the Anthem. Still have the Revel to this day, although now a monster cross/gravel/road bike. Whatever the situation requires it to be. Don't have the Anthem any more. Terrible mistake to sell that bike.

My 2cents would be Shimano at the lower end. They really are value for money in the Deore and SLX range.

So in both cases SRAM is better ?????

Have you looked at the Giant Anthem ? Always thought they are good value for money.

Where would that line be ? 120mm travel ? Where would my XTC with 120mm fit in ?

How safe is that area from the Circus to the Suikerbosrand gate to ride ? Both from a security (thinking through Daleside) and traffic (narrow road) point of view. Planning a gravel tipe ride from Carnival City, pass Suikerbosrand. This section is the only one that is a bit questionable.
