Maybe check Carbonite for 2nd hand fans. At this stage I am thinking of getting rid of the Gamdias fans to go with normal non RGB fans.
The gamdias came with a remote to control the RGB. There are a bunch of effects you can choose.I have a question. I'm aware of all the options regarding integration with various rgb software. So I know they could sync up with the rest inside the case. But I'm more interested in its degree of functionality. Is Gamdias limited to aesthetic choices? Or can I use my board software to change lighting based on temps? I'd probably have a fairly muted scheme which isn't too distracting. But I would love the option of the case displaying an overall change in colour as temps go up. Ideally everything would be white on idle and slowly ramp to red when things get toasty. Is this possible?
I would NOT recommend them at all though! I have a MSI with Mystic Light effects, and the controller is not compatible with MB even though they said that it supports the board.
The case , mouse and RAM I can adjust via software, but not the Gamdias Fans.
The MB does not control their speed either. You have to do that via the remote. And it is a huge pain in my arse. My PC ran at 100CPU utilization for three weeks, and the fans was spinning at the lowest setting (I was not at work and could not change it)
I am looking for fans that supports my motherboard. I have the fans on white most of the time or off if I work next to it. Just switch it on when clients come by to see the AMD fan boy [emoji2957]

Had a consult with the new oncologist today.
He is going to request a test of the immunotherapy that he wants to start me on. So we will know if cancer will react to the therapy before we start with it. He has a plan B in place if it does not work.
At least the doctor said that if the medical aid does not cover the therapy there are alternative options.
So it is not like the other oncologist that ruined our finances.
One thing is that the doctor thinks of his patients. He was worried about my pain levels (I am still very tender where the surgery took place) and said I was not going to get a gold star for living in pain.
Will know next week what the results of the new therapy was, and will then know the path forward.

Guess it all comes down to habit, bit think a lot of people do not read their manuals and will not know they have 2 or 3 x16 slots...Question:
I see everyone installs the GPU in first slot, which I understand if that’s the only x16 slot. But when there are 2 x16 slots why are people still using the slot closest to CPU and all other heat sources?
To be honest, I do not know if my board has 2/3 x16 slots...
Okay, checked I have one x16 slot and 2 x8 slots

I ordered a set of extension cables for my InWin Case, but only reason was because I wanted white cables.And that damn 8 pin CPU cable that is just too short. I hate it when manufacturers don't check that their cables will reach with the PSU in both orientations. I prefer the fan on the top so that it extracts the air from the case, as well as the fact that here in Strand we have lots of dust, especially in summer, so I do not like it when fans pull in air from the bottom.

The worst thing that happened to me (I had two eels) is that those buggers went up the filter pipes and would hide in the filter. Had a few times where I almost killed them or flushed them down the drain.Soon as the electricity goes then the filter system packs up and water goes bad very quickly. It's also one of the reasons I stopped having tanks.
I had one of those huge dolphin under tank filter systems.
And man the cost of having a tank...
I miss my tank.
Had a planed tank with a CO2 system. Had a few Discus that my brother gave to me, but they did not like my tank. Had a few Pandas and the coolest fish ever... An Elephant nose fish. Was cool to hand feed the little critter.
Had to sell my tank when Eskom screwed up with load shedding and damaged my pump and lights.
The worst thing was having fish die. I could not get it over my heart seeing a fish circling the drain.
Miss the whole fish thing but with Load shedding an everlasting problem it is not worth it.

I would love to go and ride it, but the surgeon did not clear me yet. I must still take it slow and cycling is still out of the question for the next few months

I think I must check if you got into my weed stash!I am probably going to get stoned for this but have you tried Nescafe Gold instant cappuccino? No cleaning issues. No large machine in the way and it tastes as good as most machine coffee in my experience.
I have been restricted to one cup of Decaf coffee per day by the dietician. Thought it was a joke, but sadly not. Just hope that it is a temp solution till I am healed up a bit. I know caffeine is a diarrhetic but surely decaf does not have that effect.
Stock is a huge problem all over the world. We can’t find quality notebooks. If we do get a batch we try to get as many units as we can.So, I am building a new rig for my 12 year old daughter. She is still using my old PC from 2011.
Going with ASUS Strix E Gaming B550 mobo, Ryzen 3600 and 1GB Gen 4 nvme drive.
Problem is that I am struggling to get the components I want for the rest of the build. It is almost impossible to get a Corsair PSU. Wootware has none and they don't have any idea when they will have. Neither can I get the Phanteks case that I wanted, so I had to fall back to a Corsair case, which is the new 4000D Air case.
The whole stock situation is a total clusterfck.
As for consoles: we have PS4, but it is gathering dust at the moment. Nobody is using it. All my kids prefer gaming on their PCs. So I am not even gonna bother with the PS5 at all.
What PSU are you looking for. Can maybe get one of our sales people searching for one or an alternative if you want to.

That is one of the worst things that can happen. I blew a 900w PSU not so long ago. Now it is not the problem blowing a PSU, it is to find a suitable PSU again. It was a pain in the butt to find a new PSU, and even though I have a new 650watt PSU now, I am not 100% happy with it. I am still shopping for a new PSU, but looking at the 80 Gold PSU’s and modular. I hate all the cables in my rig. That is why I run a NVMe to get rid of one cable in my case.Bah humbug. My PSU just popped.
I am also waiting for new white sleeved cables. I hate cables and unsightly things in my PC Case

I will discuss this with the new oncologist (I am leaving Dr Bouwer at Wilgers because the cancer spread like a wild fire and he took 0 action but waste money with an MRI) when I see him next month. The surgery has kina pushed things way back and out of schedule.

I am going home today.
Till have a high infection number, but I need to sleep and to het out of the hospital.
The staff became NAFI last night and caused a world of crap for themselves after they closed our room doors, disconnected the drip line from my CVP and left it like that. I was in a world of pain and the nurse did not even ask if I needed anything for pain. At 23h30 a nurse came to switch of the lights (she does not even work for the hospital but is a session worker) and she helped with meds, gave me my other meds and saw that the CVP line ran again.
I still have to go see the management as I already notified them that the staff had a weird attitude last night.
Seems like another change of plans. No xray.
Infection numbers are still high. But I think I am going to ask the doctor to send me home to recover at home and to get back to work.
I have not slept for the past 3 evenings. I can’t muck about waiting and waiting and waiting and nothing is happening.
Doc also want’s me to consume 1 pack of Marie Biscuits per day to help my tummy to settle.
Have to share this (kinda funny) but went to the bathroom at 02h00. Now I have not farted for a very long time as that ability was kinda removed. So I had the pleasure of waking a ward up at 02h00 this morning with one of the most thunderous farts I have ever let rip. I even made one lady cry (she has a mental problem and the blast was to much for her) when I left the bathroom three nurses came to check up on me to make sure I was okay.
Doctor swung by this AM. Infection still in the hundreds So I can’t go home due to covid where I will have to wait 24 hours at least before I can back to hospital.
He wants to do an xray tomorrow to check the flow if my insides because something feels off to him. So you drink some marker and they check where it lingers where it should not.
Just hope I do not need another enema again
