  1. Firstly: What testing if any has been done, In SA this industry is not regulated so they put any stuff in the tubs with some nice filler and then we all buy it because it will give u a six pack in weeks or make u strong like Burry. I only buy stuff that has been approved by the FDA etc like Cytomax, Hammer etc Also does it have the correct ratios's of Protein to carbs like for Peptopro.
  2. I would suggest Don Fink's Book, also have Triathlete's Bible by Friel and find that Fink's book reads easier. But if u want to do it properly then go Friel.

    IM70.3 SA

Started right at the front and still my swimtime was about 2min of my targeted time, so there was other factors to play. Saw a hell of a lot of drafting and when u tell the guys they are drafting they tell u off in no uncertain terms, that is just against the spirit of IM. Refs were not as active as previous years with just 10 DQ's I heard, should have been more. How do u fix this: SPOTTERS like IMSA, Refs have the right to pull over a whole bunch and Start Penalising not just one on one..

Great Day , but soemthing has to be done about the drafting!
  5. @Sammajoor, goeie magtig nou is ek bang. What about the BPA Free Bottles like Camelback?
  6. Okay so I trawled the Web some more and got the SA tel #, and called them. U can freeze Peptopro. Case Closed
  7. Can anyone tell me if u can freeze Peptopro Sport without it loosing it's effectiveness. I am not sure if the Protein Peptide becomes inactive if frozen. Emailed the good folks at Peptopro a week ago and still no response so hup the Hubbers can help
  8. Mike at SBR, he uses a software programme and knows his stuff.
  9. I think there is a place where the All Africa X tri will take place, ask Faceplant he is connected
  10. For Servies my: MTB goes to Johan Bornmann/Northcliff Road Bike goes to Northcliff Tri Bike Mike at SBR As for shopping, always shop around but Solomons, Westdene are normally keenly price if u walk in and know what u want and know pricing.Got best price for XTR pedals from Easybike. Recently picked up my 29er from Sprotsbasement. Moral of the story is know what u want and what the pricing is and shop around.
  11. Yeah it's the season to be jolly and then to be hit by the normal increases for Insuance etc and the first announcment is Kyalami...from R10 to R20 a session.
  12. Contact Details?
  13. Does anyone know if the guys at Coral will be able to change the collar of my existing wetsuit it is freaking choking me
  14. 1cm is a lot to raise a saddle by, just shows the effect of adjusting your setup, I went to Mike at SBR Sports and he set up all 3 my bikes and have no complaints, he also deteremined that my one leg was shorter by 3mm-which I thought was negligible till he put in a small support on my cleat and the diference in feel was substantial and that alleviated my hotfoot. Back to you Broker, it could be pinched nerve as the misalignment in the leg might have caused pressure and additional weight on the leg.
  15. Love the Sasol Series, have been doing them since one the first ones (Ruimsig). Also does not mess to much with your training plans and sometimes compliments it perfectly, ideal to just get the juices flowing.
  16. Faceplant: This was a seriuos uphill with a narrow singletrack that was against a cliff that was newly cut and had a drop fo about 5M on the one side. I think the one u mentioned was towards the midlle of the 2 Lapper that was also quite tuf an technical. Think they will probably use part of the 20km Route of the Redstone race and then it is different to the route we are talking about...Thank Goodness
  17. Thanks FP, I did one of the First Redstone Races and there was some technical stuff, especially the one secion that went up the trees and there was a very dodgy singletrack with a wicked drop to the side that section ended up at the rivercrossing, that's why I was asking. it could get congested.
  18. @ Faceplant What's the route like at Island Estate?
  19. Hard as it may sound but if you are not able to swim without a wetsuit then do not enter, harsh... I agree. Tri is a journey and u challenge urself more than most sports.Start swimming thru something like Total Immersion etc and u will be surprised. Swimming is mostly about technique and once u have that going the confidence will come. Imagine what it will do for your confidence not only in sport but in Life if you conquer that hurdle!
  20. Dankie
  21. I know that it has moved but there is limited info...I like to plan ahead
  22. @Faceplant whassup with the Prestige Ultra....cannot find any details/entry etc?
  23. Sportbasement is selling the Volcan XC-29 with XX at R25k, worth a look.
  24. @GARFIELD, simple answer to your question is No....sadly, this clown has a history and when he was suspected it was for MTBing not Tri and the two I think has mutually exclusive governing bodies. So easy if you get into trouble for one sport just change codes hopefully he will start running out of sports codes to change to as I would not hold my breath for the governing bodies to take their heads out of the sand.
