    IM70.3 SA

My 2c on cramping is that the prevention starts a couple of days before the race not on the race, once u start cramping ur pretty much cooked.
  2. Cisca Landman close to the Bell Street Hospital last I remember, she worked with DCM etc. Can recommend her as she sorted out my problems.
  3. Bell and Giro same company, Bell owns Giro and if I am not mistaken they have the same warrantee policy as do Rudy. Best is to fit them and decide, just one caution I have Bell sweep and if I once more catch those back pointy things in a door, cupboard etc....anycase they are look cool but are flimsy when they catch on things.
  4. If ur training for IMBC or similar my answer would be NO, if ur training for IMSA then it is also NO. It takes a while for the body to recover from 32km and Up and might compromise ur immune system, muscle recovery etc. The one thing I have learnt is that these races that come up and we just wanna do it but it just messes with your training, best to look at the Calendar and your training plan and rate the Races as A, b, C. A races is IMBC/SA, B might be 5150 or 11 gLOBAL and C might be 94.7, this is an axample. Nothing comes in the way of your A race and this is what you RACE, and if there is a Race that fits in a Certain Phase of training then sure use it as TRAINING and not a race or just to test the body. If the Tuff One fits into a plan then great but just to do it, to do it then if I were u I would reconsider. My 2CENTS
  5. Selle for Road ISM for my Tri Bike Spez for MTB
  6. Agree with Jakes re Lightweight wheels and looks like 3T bars, what shimano grouppo? Would also be interisting to see the geometry specs
  7. @Seekr911 Soorry man, for some reason I dont get PM's....Thx for the reply
  8. @seeker 911Please answer my question that I asked on my post on the 8th
  9. Overall vast improvement on previous years. Some positives: Silicone swimcap, I hate pulling those latex hair removal devices off after the swim. Swim route was better. Did they change the hill? anycase cycle route was good. Saw some naughty boys drafting, okes if u do that in Paul Wolfe's race he'll have u, just a friendly word of advice. Good marshalls in general (See below about Negatives, there's always one frustrated library prefect). Good crowd support. Marshalls at the waterpoints and the guys watering the golf course....they enthusiastically doused us, good fun. The sponges were a lifesaver Valley of the waves entry, i had more fun than a 7yr old Developmental areas (The Registartion was like a treasure hunt. Loooooong Transition, almost thought I was on the run allready except with my bike. T1 No marshal on the mount/dismount and no clear mount lines, dude when u point at an imaginery line and yell at me to dismount there when I am bleeding from the eyeballs dont expect me to mind read within 1cm. That marshall tannie in the Bike transition that kept yelling and huffing on her whistle at guys to zip up their tops...Tannie dis hotter than a snake's ass in a wagonrut, a bit of sympathy rather than tyranny. The heat on the run.....
  10. @Seeker 911 Off Topic Hijack, what's Linden Pool like to trai in?
  11. Dont think so, the spacing on the compact does not allow for a standard chainring...I had the same issue with my SRAM so not sure if it is the same as Shimano
  12. @Help.Me, how as ur Max HR Calculated? Karvonen?
  13. Not much unless you know what you are training for and wanted to achieve in the training session. To just go and ride and not have a purpose defeats the object of training, yes there is a place for just going for a nice ride with mates and enjoying but that should at least be with some purpose. So let's look at ur data: The assumption is based on that u have set the correct THR and that u are using Polar Zones Wwhere u spent most of ur time was Zone 3 is Aerobic Stamina Zone 4 is Aerobic Endurance So in general if u wanted a good training ride that would help your general fitness then I would say it did it's job. ut once again not sure where u are in your training and what ur objective was for the ride. At least you did not spend to much time in Zone 1, 2, 5 and that is good
  14. dizzyness=Low Blood Pressure? but not normal and speculation is not gonna help u, suggest u go to a Specialist Physician not ur GP.
  15. Ther's gonna be a 5 to repace that 4 on his shirt!
  16. Had my run in with them. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/63773-cajees-again/page__hl__cajees Also won't go there ever again even if they are just 2km from my house.
  17. If you can get your hands on Sugoi they are the best ever.
  18. Tried the Peanut Bar One and it is really nice. The MOF bought some "fresh" Snicker Bars back from her visit to the States and some Jelly Belly's....Now life is perfect!
  19. Heia is fine, swam there last in April so if they have in the meantime got some hippos, but as far as I know no Hippo's. Water quality is good and the wildlife there is quite nice to see as well. They charge R50 for a swim but it is worth it.
  20. Apparently he tested a couple of bikes and the Cervelo P4 was the fastest for him that's the one that he used in 70.3 Worlds. If he is going to "S" then Spez Shiv comes to mind, Scott? wow plot thickens.
  21. Any guesses on what Crowie will ride after 70.3 Worlds?
  22. This is not a hit and run @ Eldron and Dangle, look at my posts I dont stir and run away ......so get your comments and facts staright. Neither do I work for another rival company. I dont sit on the Hub all day and jump on someone to make a seagull comment and when that person does not respond in 5 nanoseconds say he runs away. BTW are u guys not cennected to USN since u got so defensive? So after that little personal justification let's get to the facts: Firstly I saw what goes into USN and have seen their production methods, the previous company that I worked for was approached to distribute the product a couple of years back. Please note this company was not a rival to USN but a Retail Distribution company. Let me say that I have seen how and what goes in and will not use their product.
  23. Sorry meant Good Luck....wasn't getting all religious on you
  24. It is hw fast u get to your recovery HR not how high or low u go
  25. USN is filth I would not put anything of theirs in my body. So the question is then how do u loose weight: 1. Teach your body to engage the energy system that burns fat, LSD Does that, so once your body knows how to burn fat it will start reducing weight. U need to train and teach ur body what energy system to engage. 2. Secondly Diet: stay away from Carbonated drinks and white bread. go see a dietician and get guidance...I say guidance not a diet. Eat food as close to its natural state as possible. 3. Drink lots of water. God Luck
