  1. Gotta agree, the Adamo is the solution, Also ride the Road version on the Tri bike and have no issues.
  2. The swim is a walk...you can walk and it is not deep around the ski dam. The Bike is gonna be tuff if you gonna go SS, big climb out and fast back. The run is a fairly flat around the rondavels. Lot of cash to spend to do a olympic distance, stayover, entry etc.
  3. Man, I can only say it sucks, Focus now on healing what is done is done you cannot change it get Better not Bitter. You are alive and that's what matters!
  4. Okay here is my opinion and it is pretty much biased to RM. Firstly stage racing on a hard tail ...if ur in ur 20's and can take a hammering then great but HT is a HT even if it is a 29er. I have not ridden a Merida and I am not a big fan of their Geometry. I ride a Full Susser ELEMENT and it just handles beautifully and it suits my short torso long legs and it takes a beating like a red headed stepchild. The sizing is tricky so if u ride a Medium u would go Large for RM. I know it is with an FS in mind vs HT but it gives you a general idea on the brand and how it handles and what body type it should suit.
  5. Cannot agree more, a power meter is the best, then get the book Training and Racing with a Power meter, then get an engineering friend to read it and explain it.
  6. TSA is a waste of time and they have a history with Louis and his events, Louis (Faceplant) doesn't take their crap and I agree, they are a waste for us as athletes and probably hell for event organisers.
  7. Yeah would love to know as I am converting mine to a SS.
  8. Have a Xterra Vendetta also from Terry, great service great wetsuit
  9. Fisrtly your Ape Index (True thing Google it) has an impact on the setup not the size. Best is to have a measurement done at a tri shop, and let them recommend a bike. then go home and do your research, ie Reviews and geometries. Buy Bike Then have a proper setup done, like in CA if I assume right it would be Jeroen Swart, the good Dr knows his stuff.
  10. I feel your pain.....let's start a Support Group!
  11. BTW any way of dealing with Birds, they are shredding the Kale and I have hung CD's from a Framework but they just dont give a crap.
  12. I have a fully Organic Garden, the seeds are heirloom seeds and the soil is ceritfied organic. Sent the GF on an Organic Gardening Course and started collecting seeds. This is my Big FU to GM stuff. I have Kale, Carrots, Lettuce, Pumpkin, Butternut, Tomatoes but my biggest thrill is the Non GM Corn that I got, so very excited to harvest that. However GF is very protective over the garden and only us work in it on weekends after training.....I have fallen asleep in the vegetable patch. Will gladly swop/send some seeds if you like....just wanna screw Monsanto in my small little way!
  13. So the shirt was crap, does Mr Wolf and Mr Merrel really care....think we all know the answer to that. Why don't they one year say you can all forego the shirt and that Barney the Dinosaur Kindergarten Day Pack and give that money to a charity.....now that will make us feel much better than pissing and moaning?
  14. Cyclelab uses the system developed by Jeroen Swart maybe contact him and ask who knows their stuff in the area and negotiate....
  15. I suggest that you go about it in the right way, u might get someone who does not do a proper job and then u are out of R's and probably have an injury. Rather go see the guys at Cyclefit and make a day of it and spend the money.
  16. Whose Bright idea was it to do it the same date as IMBC, always used to be a week after EL, was always fun to do after and if you had a crappy IMBC then there was always Xterra ......Colour me visible unimpressed
  17. Once you start dishing out funding like Lotto there are going to be upset people and it can backlash against the Hub. I like P.A.K's Idea of Crowdfunding, the parties can canvas and state their case on the Hub and you contribute what you want on Kickstart. Mark Allen even launched his Triathlon book on Kickstart, so the concept is sound.
  18. Xtenex, those little rised buttons (whatever they are called) eventually just loose their grippiness, rather get Lock Laces, just make sure you have enough left over so u can push it under the laces so they dont flop around.
  19. 2XU
  20. Exactly my philosophy
  21. I get the usual muscle pain and hit a cataflam before bedtime, next day niggle gone. For me a niggle is something that goes away when training and appears normally after the training event... if it persists.... rest. If it does not go away when training see a Dr. That's just my view, by no means scientific but works for me.
  22. Yep sounds like a plan Garf...good feedback, I guess if if we have IM in the body then it will be okay. Just also remember we have to do a damn seeding race as well-or am I wrong?
  23. Doing Comrades to this year after IM. Anyone done it before? any advice or training programme that you can share. Comrades will be my first....so not to sure if I should be upping running prior to IM or use the time after IM to just hit the distance.
  24. Also from Slowtwitch http://www.slowtwitch.com/Products/Components/Rotor_long_term_test_4118.html Do they work? Only from personal experience I have Rotors on my TT and MTB bikes. Love it on the MTB as it makes the pedalstroke smoother through the terrain. On the Tri Bike I feel that I get off the bike with not as much stress on the legs. I have no data to back this up,this is purely anecdotal but it makes sense if you can optimise the dead spot on a pedalstroke.
  25. The lady in question that helped is Paul Kaye's wife. He made a comment on this on FB https://www.facebook.com/kayeman
