  1. Eugh I'm so jealous.
  2. Barcelona. Very very cool piece dude! I like it a lot!
  3. Honestly, this would be enough for most people. Just make it a Hilux doing 120 in an 80 zone. Skrikked my gat off this morning. Also, there was no oncoming traffic, they could have easily given me some extra space. I really think that drivers don't understand how we experience a close pass, even though they think it is perfectly fine.
  4. This is sortof how I'm feeling about this whole thing. I understand the issue is that Facebook promised never to do this when they bought WhatsApp, and now they've done exactly what they said they wouldn't. But with the actual messages being end to end encrypted, I don't see how exactly Facebook can make use of that data. I'll wait for someone smarter/more resourceful to explain the actual impact that this will have on my day to day existence. If WhatsApp starts showing ads all over the place, well, then I'm out.
  5. Can be used on 5 devices.
  6. I'm using NordVPN which I bought on some sort of 3-year special deal. It's a lot of money up front, but considering that you can use it anytime, anywhere swayed me towards it. It's also allowed us to watch The Block on Channel 9 in Australia which was pretty cool. It also comes in handy (well not last year with COVID) when we travel internationally and The Girl wants to watch Showmax or DSTV.
  7. It literally uses the word cloth.
  8. Autodesk Fusion 360 for modeling, and CURA for slicing the STL files
  9. This But it sat on Facebook Marketplace for two days at R5K and tempted me, eventually I caved. Didn't realise that the mitre slot was oddly shaped, but I could probably 3D print an accurate slider at least!
  10. Ah dangit, I broke my own rule
  11. Stella looks chuffed with herself! Good job on the repair, that's the sort of tedious work that I don't have the patience for...
  12. That might be it. It was new to me considering broken bones and stuff earlier in the year.
  13. Drop me a line next time you're heading out that way! I hope you made it up to the new flowyjumpy section at the top.
  14. I didn't even buy 10 products in 2020 Great write-up!
  15. RocknFolla
  16. Compatibility with your frame and/or fork, probably.
  17. Been a good day in the garage today and yesterday, hopefully tomorrow sees the end of perpetually preparing, and me actually starting to make something. As part of the prep, and me not yet having bought a drill press, I decided to draw up and 3D print a jig for the cordless I also made a special base for the upcoming project as I need to drill some holes in dowels: I can also fit spacers inside to fit different size dowels: Made some further progress on the router fence/sliding jig Obviously I had to create a dust port, and in the absence of the correct size hole saw, you oversize the hole, and 3D print a suitable adapter:
  18. I have a built-up Chinese frame as a gravel bike. I run 2x10 with a gravel-specific crank (36x42) if I'm not mistaken, and I alternate between Gravel Tyres and 32C Gatorskins for the road. The bike has actually spent the best part of the last year in road trim as I can still take dirt road shortcuts on the Gators if required. Ultimately I will have a second set of wheels with dedicated tubeless gravel tyres as switching tyres is a bit of a PITA.
  19. Work continues for the router sled
  20. Just keep in mind that the maximum cash-back depends on your banking suite. I, for example, only have a Platinum Credit Card, therefore I'll only receive a maximum of R500 a month back against the phone.
  21. Added a swimming pool hose to the bench to allow the vacuum to sit underneath the bench. Surprisingly it fit to both the miter saw and the vacuum, albeit the wrong way around. Here I thought I was going to have to 3D print some adapters!
  22. I love this so much
  23. Oh Takums, the damage I would cause to myself with a chisel is far greater than it needs to be... I did, but obviously it was a very simple and straightforward design.
  24. Decided to install some T-Track sliders for my future router fence. The little Bosch palm sander that I bought on Black Friday made this an absolute breeze. And another reason why 3D printers are important
