You've gotta use a 9 Speed XT derailleur, they are compatible with the 10 Speed STI's.

Impressed by the first ride on the Sawtooths. They roll really well on the tar, and the bit of gravel on my route this morning was perfectly fine. They are bloody heavy though, paired with heavy wheels (for now) means a bit of effort to get going. But once you're rolling, they are ridiculously stable and just want to plough forward. Chris, sorry to disappoint, but it's just a stack of red headset spacers... The bike itself is a Chinese carbon (Deng Fu I think) frame, and I have another set of carbon wheels with 32C Gatorskins for road duty. Braking is handled by TRP HY/RD brakes, and going forward is done by a 2x10 mix bag of 105 Shifters, CX70 46/36 Crankset, Deore XT Rear Derailleur and an 11-36 cassette.

Sawtooths it is. Clearance is tight, but much better than before.

Ramblers look a bit too rough, and the Sawtooth, well, too smooth... Price on both are in the same class as the Gravel Kings as well, and face the same issue - no stock.

Need some advice on new tyres for the gravel bike. I currently have Farr DOT 45C tyres on the bike, but the clearance on the chainstay is far too tight for my liking, so I need something slightly less wide. I need to go measure them, but I believe that they are closer to 50mm than 45mm, hence the tight squeeze. Obviously Panaracer Gravelkings are on the list, but a bit hard to stomach at R800 a pop right now. Other suggestions?

I'm going to flaunt a pink note with lion on it and say that Bavuma is going to be the next captain. To add on to what you have said, the current team is toothless. I spoke with someone else who made the comment that the Aussie side of the 90's and 00's never, ever thought that they were down and out - they kept on fighting. That is what we lack. We accept defeat and just roll over. We don't have BMT. The team cohesion is crap. The highest average of the current squad is Faf with 41 now Markram at just under 41. Where are the days of Amla, Kallis, AB and Smith who averaged near on 50 and over? Where are those players? Verreyne averages nearly 52 in FC, the Malan brothers are both over 44 in FC. Keegan Petersen is also averaging 41 in FC. Why are these guys not playing? Where are the bowlers? Rabada is world class, and Nortje is doing a good job, but where are we after that? There are some youngsters making waves, but we're not actually playing enough cricket to give them a real go. I agree that we should be playing stronger nations like India, Aus and England, but why not give the younger okes a run against the likes of Pakistan, Windies, Sri Lanka, et al. Whatever, we're in the ****.
