  1. You need to format and partition the drive. Right click on the Unallocated drive to get to the required options. Unfortunately I don't have a drive with an unallocated portion to run you through all the steps, but it is pretty straightforward. Edit: Also, I personally wouldn't go with a merge, I would rather start a fresh install. Gives you a good opportunity to do some housekeeping as well.
  2. That's good to hear, I've been actively avoiding the area as I've not heard any updates.
  3. I hate times like these where I say "why didn't I think of that" - guess what I'm doing this weekend!
  4. Following up on the converting the garage to a workspace progress, my standalone workbench idea got scrapped, and substituted with a fold-out bench instead Making all the edges and corners 'safe' Making it easier to lift Installing a router insert Now I still need to figure out a DIY fence for the router, and I'm considering whether and how to install sliding tracks for the router. I'm not finally at a stage where I can actually start to build something. Like they say, it's a lot harder to build the machine, that builds the machine. On the topics of routers, what's the general opinion on Palm Routers? The Bosch GKF550 is on sale for just under R1000 at the moment, which seems like a really good deal. I can feel handling the big router all day yesterday in my shoulders today.
  5. Seen a similar one, but with a router
  6. Line of Duty was so good, and another excellent one is The Capture

I loved it, and from the riders feedback they loved it as well. It just seemed like everything was happening 10% faster than it normally would. It was such a good day's racing all-round. It's the first time since Jerez (probably) where I've watched all three races, and boy did it deliver. Moto2 and Moto3 were so nerve wracking, and ended up being very close for both eventual (and deserving) title winners. MotoGP was different, the way Olivera cleared off at the front was insane, and Franky doing a Lorenzo the past two races is very encouraging, unless he gets the 2020 bike next year...

    Yeah, I'm excited about Sunday

Man that was such an exciting final lap! Also,
  11. Thanks! I've not yet edged the boards, as my edging strip roll is actually with a friend at the moment. It will just be normal melamine edging, and I've got a nice trimmer thing which clamps across the board so it makes a perfect square cut. I have already provided for the 4th hinge on the tall door, but unfortunately I miscounted when I bought so ended up short one - it will get installed this weekend. Good eye though, thanks!

Yup 100% agreed. I don't actively follow Jorge, but based on what I've seen on Instagram he has no need. And that's the weird thing about racers - most of them just don't know how/when to stop. It must be some form of addiction in the end. Look at Rossi. I have massive admiration for his incredible career, but I don't see this season doing his reputation any good to be honest. I hear you, as a racer, Stoner wasn't done, but as an individual he just didn't want to do it any more. And that I respect. He won his championships, he's got a hot wife and two kiddos, and wanted to go fishing instead. He could have made MILLIONS more, but that wasn't the most important thing for him.

No I 100% agree. I also think that Yamaha signed him only to not having available for anyone else, but Jorge did himself no favours by not being ready when called upon. Sure COVID wrecked training plans for most people, but I think back to Tito Rabat in Moto2, where he spent just about every single non-race weekend on a CBR600RR at Alcaniz turning laps to ensure that he was doing the maximum that he could, whereas I get the feeling that Jorge was just chilling. Which he is 100% entitled to do, but then shouldn't expect to also be in high demand.
  14. Whilst it's not so much woodwork in the artistic sense, I decided to make use of the swanky circle saw track setup that I bought during lockdown, and built myself some cupboards and workspace in the garage. Previously I would have drawn up everything, created cutting lists and went to Builders Warehouse for them to chop everything up on my behalf. This time, I just bought a bunch of sheets and went to town - and it was fantastic. If I screwed up, or realised that I wanted to change something, I just cut a sheet myself and reorganised. The great thing is when you have overlapping hobbies. I dabble a bit with 3D Printing, which gave me the idea to quickly mock up and print a drilling template for the euro hinges I used on the cabinets. 15 mins of design time, 1 hour of printing and a full R3.12 in material later, I can nail my door installs without any hassle. I also thought that it might be time to reward myself, with a new compound sliding mitre saw to replace the cheap-ass Ryobi I had - what a difference a good saw makes. I actually cannot believe how much better this thing is than what I had. And then I'm also in the process of building a fold-up work table to create some more surface in the garage - hopefully it works out as planned

I really don't understand the motivation behind this. Jorge is not bike fit at all. He's not been training, he's not been racing, he was 3s slower on a Factory M1 at the Portimao test than the GP riders on ROAD bikes. And he got fat. It must be nostalgia with his success at Aprilia in his early career. I don't think that Jorge is a contender any longer. But, maybe his knowledge and style manages to sort the Aprilia out, but again, the issue is not the chassis, they need more ponies. Which Jorge can't help them with. I don't get it. I would much rather have Dovi on the Aprilia than Jorge.

    I did some quick calculations for the past 10 years (so there might be some finger errors, but the point remains). After 13 Rounds, the eventual winner of the Championship had this many points: 2011 = 259 2012 = 245 2013 = 253 2014 = 289 2015 = 224 2016 = 223 2017 = 199 2018 = 246 2019 = 229 2020 = 162 Just shows what a tumultuous year we've had with 9 different winners so far, and not one rider really dominating.
  18. One day soon this will happen to the AMG driving ****head working at the offices next to our complex, and I might just die laughing.
  19. Valid calculation, however, how much would a $1mil house in SA actually cost though, R3mil? Edit 1: In SA a R3m loan at 7% interest (current rate) over 30yrs would mean: R20,000 pm repaymentsR 7 185 267.00 (~140%) paid over the total termSame proportion of interest no matter the cost though, which is where the real value lies. However you can't discount the local cost of equivalent properties. (we're slowly considering a move to Aus so I've been a lot more interested in their market the past few weeks, and from an SA point of view it's scary, but once you convert back to purchasing power, it's not all that scary. Comparatively we're spending around 12% of combined gross income on rent per month. In Melbourne we're looking at around 12% to 16% of combined gross income. Which wasn't far off to my surprise.) Edit 3: In fairness it's a smaller apartment-type property to the duplex with garden-type property that we've got now, but I was surprised. Edit 2: And if you change the 30 to 20 years, it makes a massive difference to the total amount repaid: In SA a R3m loan at 7% interest (current rate) over 20yrs would mean: R23,200 pm repaymentsR 5 582 152.00 (~86%) paid over the total term

  25. I'm on NordVPN as well, got it on sale some time ago for a 3-year deal if I remember correctly. Mostly using the local server just to sit behind some form of protection (for what it's worth), but recently we've been hooking up with the Australian server so that we can watch the latest season of The Block on Channel 9 AU, which is pretty useful. On 20mbps fibre at home all the way to Aus we're streaming perfectly fine, no issues.
