  1. Once again Crux fooled the Capies into fighting amongst themselves. When you want help don't be shy speak to the other riders.
  2. Best would be to do at least two rides with each club in your area and ascertain the vibe amongst the members and yourself as each area is different.
  3. Wat van daai kerel "sias" Hy se n ding soos hy is,sonder om n oog te knip

Guys before you all get carried away, why not contact AM and check with him if indeed he is doing both categories.

He simply feels like having some long rides over the week-end and yes he has the ability to compete at both levels
  7. Irrespective of race, pedigree or connections, they should be dealt with and their parents kept away from the track for at least one full season, officials or not
  8. Fand as a matter of interest how long have you owned My Race
  9. Strange that this spreadsheet is only discussed now when it has appeared after every Grand Prix/provincial event since last year.
  10. GL make you think, why is the official complainants not prepared to give sworn statements to the lawyers or any off the other hubbers that has so much to say about your indiscretions. Now hubbers is your chance to get rid of the Lemmers if you have the BALLS to stand up and be counted.Gracie will PM you
  11. Gracie call me you have my details(whoever you are) All those who is against Carinus in his current position it is simple, formally complain to CSA and canvas for his contract not to be renewed as some has done by getting PPA to stop paying his salary bill. As for GL I am sure he has proven himself in the current position soget rid of him as well using the correct channels and fill his position with your candidate of choice.
  12. Until such time that some brave sole stands up and indicates his/her readiness to do what the Lemmers are doing shut theF*&%$ up and stop mouthing off in public what you yourself are not prepared to offer. Carinus has been tasked by the CSA board to deliver on his contract so let him be and allow CSA to deal with him when next they sit down. The official matter between CSA and CGC regards the Lemmers must also takes it cause(I am sure they not as bad and long as the GOv.of the day in making decisions). Groot Lem until someone can show good cause for you to be removed from your position you continue doing what you must. Note to all those aggrieved soles start your preparations now for the next congress clean-out, it gives you ample time to plan accordingly.
  13. No popcorn on this thread, let CSA management deal with the issues at hand and give it the priority it deserves. It's a pity we cannot get you(stirrers) to take positions on your local provincial boards and then onto CSA boards to solve such issues cycling has. Please stop shooting the few good people cycling has at it's disposal rather offer your help. The days of jobs, positions, favours for pals has to be ended and cycling as a whole must be the winner.
  14. Here we go again, Stop generalising and name and shame the authors of your accusations. Do not say CGC this/that-name the persons you have a gripe with because I don't take lightly to this crap as not all the CGC members is involved in whatever you alluding to. Lem is in a voluteering position with no payment.Carinus as the COO is in a paid position for which he has a contact and is accountable to the CSA board hence any complaints about the COO must be addressed to CSA and they must be man enough to deal with the issues. I speak to said Lemmers whenever the need arises without any problems. Check the past threads to see who drove the campaign for Greg and Carinus in the past. Are you panzies or what prove your worth by naming the said parties.
  15. Jenni some of your comments are laughable(Road races pay out much more money than cycling events) at the Jhb marathon we handed out prize money in excess of R900 000-00 three weeks ago ladies winner went home with R150000-00 and the monies are transferred within a week of test results coming back from the lab. As a service provider you are not sincere to the cyclists at all,The only monies you supposed to hold back are those of the tested riders not all the category winners. To CSA I say shame on you for putting a hold of 4/6 months on prize monies, please justify your reasoning.( If Jenni statement is correct)

    Ronelle

Hi Ronelle Has the Guateng goodies arrived yet?
  17. ANOTHER ONE OVER THE WEEK-END- WHAT DO WE DO NOW AS THESE GUYS SEEM TO KNOW OUR MOVEMENTS.CGC MAIL RECEIVED THIS MORNING "I wanted to inform you of our horrible experience on Saturday morning. Three of us went out for a quick 2,5 hours to be back home for the kids activities and some family time J We left Linden Cycles at around 05:30 for a fast and flat ride out via Newlands up to Ontdekkers, then right into Ontdekkers and all the way to Randfontein and back. Needless to say we did not get past Ontdekkers where it crosses the N1 highway! Just after we turned left into Ontdekkers and crossed the N1 highway at 05:50 (it was already light), two blacks standing next to the road, jumped into the road. One had a knife and one had a handgun. Two of us cycled through them as we did not 100% realised what was going on, but our third mate weren?t that lucky as they pushed him of his bicycle. The one with the knife got on the bicycle and raced off into the direction of Maraisburg (Soweto ? i.e. South) parallel in the side road next to the N1. The arrogant one with the firearm casually searched him whilst we were screaming from about 15 ? 20 meters. He took his celphone, money and energy bar?. The bottom line is that they stole one bicycle, my bicycle hit the sidewalk in the process and the frame broke? Luckily we are both insured but we need to stop these idiots!!! It was very, very painful as we are all big guys but totally helpless due to the situation. No one got hurt and we are all FINE, but what a sad day in South Africa!!! The reason why I am writing to you is twofold, please spread the word to the clubs and secondly we need to create some kind of a HOT SPOT ALERT via the website or somewhere else to document these HI-JACKING HOT SPOTS? Your Thoughts? The one thing I am going to warn you about, is that these guys will be back! When the one ran away he stopped and pointed the gun in our direction and said that they will get us next time!!!! I weren?t aware that the scum of our society is now targeting road bicycles, as I knew about all the horrific MTB incidents but never before about a road bicycle?.. We are however with the help of some police friends launch an initiative to find these guys, because I do believe they will be taking someone out at the exact same spot? We will keep you informed! We are still waiting for the police to show after we phoned them twice?. Be aware!!! Best Regards, Jacques ______________________________________ Jacques Swart Marketing Director"
  18. What about the Shamals with tubbies and bag WW sold me For R1300-00
  19. ShaunH did, he sold me his trailer of +R15000-00 for R6000 on the hub
  20. Morning hubbers Last night CGC held it's AGM and for the first time since 2005 actually had more than enough members to form a quorum, must say it is pathetic when one see the amount of clubs that stayed away yet they want this and that done for them and here when the opportunity was there they were nowhere to be seen. Some interesting items caught my attention and after the past few months of scratching around I am more confused at the manner in which cycling is actually run within SA. 1: Touchy issue affecting all riders- Where do you think your R30-00 day license fee goes to? Is it the province or CSA. My opinion would be that money belongs to province as the race event is sanctioned by province and held within the provincial borders. Some events this money remains within the province however at a recently held big event some of this money was taken taken directly by CSA- WHY? R250000-00 is a huge chunk of money in my eyes. One wonders if PPA has to also hand over the day license fees collected at Argus as well 1:Is CSA not undermining the authority of the provincal board where the event was held by dealing directly with the organizer without the board's permission? 2:Did CSA pay a commission on this collection and why? +-R24000-00 3:Sanctioned events been held and then they delay payments to the prize winners for several weeks/months.I would have thought this type of issue should have received priority over the collection of day license fees 4:There are many more issues at hand that needs to be addressed with urgency if cycling wants to get it's house in order. First one would be to set proper processes in place between the provinces and CSA. I now understand why PPA in Western Cape refuses to fold or become an affiliate of WPC.
  21. Johan's posts make some sense. Admin How about only allowing the for sale thread to have posts done by persons declaring their real identity on the hub at least this way we know whom we dealing with. I for one scan this section quite often for deals, who knows I might be buying from one of the skelms.
  22. Hi Hubbers To all those who has been jacked since December or those who know the persons jacked please either attend or give us your details as to your jaking including the bike make and colours and place of jacking. The rapid resonse unit reservists section will be helping us on this. Meeting on Thursday evening at 52 Maraisburg road Bosmont @20H30. Thanks for the use of your house ZAC. Mallo
  23. Hi all After the past few jackings I approached one of the pawn shops in Maraisburg and exchanged a few friendly words with the owner which ironically stopped the jackings until Sunday morning which I believe happened down on Mollie/Long street somewhere which means these guy have just moved the target area. The interesting part is there is nothing one can do to the shops without concrete proof. The guys in Maraisburg admits two sales were done within his shop but without his involvment as the buyers bought direct from the seller. I find this strange however his books does not log any bikes bought. TO ALL CYCLIST USING LONG-MOLLIE-HP UP TO THE HP/ONDEKKEERS INTERSECTION BE CAREFUL. A FELLOW CYCLIST IS ARRANGING A MEETING WITH THE RAPID RESPONSE UNIT OF SAPS TO HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM
  24. Not at all, however when someone is prepared to step up to the plate and give it a go rather offer positive advise or better yet offer your services if you believe they are the wrong persons for the job Don't moan likea sissie ---simple challenge to the author of thread and croanies name yourselves for us the man in the street to acess your contribution to cycling over the years.
  25. rather a pity these naysayers are not prepared to help improve cycling but full of energy to heckle those giving it a go for the love of the sport and not for their personal gain
