    Look Bicycle

Alida do what I done get both the Cannodale and Planet-X The Planet X is full carbon (Frame and fork)for less than R6700-00) PM Kiwi.
  2. PM Kiwi for all the info you need and a possible test ride on them
  3. What a way to prepare for the 2009 season. It is great to see how passionate cyclists are about their sport and provinces they represent yet these (there are exceptions GL ETC) very selfsame persons are not prepared to put anything back into the sport to help the growth thereof and the retention of their best young riders.
  4. It is great to see so many lady cyclists out on the DC. I hope PPA encourages the ladies and gives decent incentives for them to continue in this vain.Keep going WC ladies.
  5. Sean Have you heard how Mr Cheune stuffed his chances up on this one.I think this is the only Sports board/congress in Africa he does not hold board position on. Moss was racist a while back and Sam does not align himself with Buti at all.
  6. Cycling has lost it position on the board of SASCOC but still remains a member affiliate of the congress. Losing the position might not mean much for us cyclists but CSA actually loses out on what gets discussed at board level and have no chance of colluding with your buddies on the board to aid your views. OF further interest is that with Moss gone now and Gideon taking over we will have more fighting as he is not one to listen to Buti and Cedric shooting their mouths off, the other point of interest is ASA not gaining a board position as well and suspending the only hope they had of getting in by the back door through one of their provincial heads.I guess all the money will dry up now as the business world will not like the mud slinging about to take place in the coming months. " What goes around comes around"
  7. Well done to all who rode the race. Now you Capies need to transfer your race savy to all the races outside of WC as well, this should give you guys the motivation that you can mix it with the best in SA.
  8. Not same as Planet X but their prices is much less.PM Kiwi for more details or checkout the website: www.planet-x-bikes.co.za
  9. Problem is simply down to money. Organizers not prepared to pay the additional costs for the traffic dept etc hence they shy away from the longer races. However if the ability seeding system was in place you would increase the field from the odd 85 riders to around 200 and that maight make it viable.
  10. All the more reason to vote for the Kremetart to become a single stage race for the Elites whilst the masses enjoy the four stages.
  11. The Nashua ladies team will do things differently and better than the current setup within ladies racing and that makes the team format interesting. Owen has brought a new flavour to racing within SA ladies from the Elite down to the development aspect has been taken care off and one will see some cross skilling which is sorely lacked amongst our ladies. Here we have opportunities opening for the younger generations to learn from the experienced ladies. The backroom staff has also been selected for their specific strengths and will work in tandum with the newbies in that field as well. At the end of the day it is not about what money can buy but how success can be built from within the team to the benefit of all.
  12. Watch this space there will be some spit and fire with the newbie ladies joining the veterans of lady cycling and the wily old fox at the helm. Mr O you have work to do for 2009 defending some big titles
  13. Re-launch of the Orange Train for 2009 season:
  14. Loan does not belong to CSA but CGC
  15. African champs kit is lilly white as well but to remind you of Africa there is a thin black line through it
  16. Check last night's Star and Cyclingnews clip, remember Latrinus is only an employee at CSA he cannot be held liable for their decisions.
  17. Having read the article in the Star last night and cyclingnews clip I am embarrassed that CSA is not funding Nic in any way to get to Morocco. (Representing your country on self funding, what next) Nic is not only going to race in the tour but receive a special award for been the Africa Champion.UCI is part funding him yet CSA is not giving a cent towards his trip I wonder why. Been the African champ he represents all that is cycling on the continent and South Africa should be proud of this as we proclaim in the one article to be the powerhouse of African cycling. Shame on CSA for not helping on this special occassion. Imagine he goes on and wins one or both titles up for grabs again. I might be wrong but I believe the financial dept within CSA should have a business plan and budget catering for all these races here and abroad, what has happened to all the funds reflected in the financial reports presented at congress in April. I am sure funds came in from Worlds View event and the Junior worlds held earlier in the year. Nic has not only represented his club's over the years but SA as well with pride in all the events he has attended,it is sad to see him finish off on such a note when receiving such an accolade from the UCI.

Stating facts sias look at all your postings whenever something is said about or from a POC. All the hubbers that know me will vouch for what/who I am.Does not mean a person is racist when they don't see/agree with your sentiments. I was taught to respect every other being in order to gain their respect. Turtlek did you overlook sias telling some of us to form our own party, hence my response that I belong to one already. " Treat others the way you want them to teat you"

Scooterza- Isaac's bike(Sponsored) costs close to 20k and he lives in a shack does that mean people should frown upon him.

I admit there are many a person of colour taking advantage of the current situation but to paint us all with the same brush is a bit far fetched. Funny reading some the the comments made here may I ask why can't people of colour also own something upmarket(Legally purchased) as well even if they live in the townships. Next thing we will hear about is Isaac on his new Cannondale in Munsieville's gravel roads or Cylenut's Security guys on their MTB's he worked hard for to ensure they have some transport. I wonder what expressions you guys have on your faces when you see Jackie for instance at races on his Madone does your mind wonder as well?
  24. Last week at one of the LBS I was in there was three sales done within an hour of the best bikes he had on display. The one guys spent R76000-00 without blinking on his new stead. I guess the credit crunch is only for a select few. Cleary some LBS will not be hard hit in these times as said shop is at least 56years old and the owner has been through it all before. His motto count the pennies and the pounds look after themselves, treat man off the street the same as your biggest spender.
