  1. Groot Lem your website is one of the best cycling websites in SA thus far. Hopefully you will rub that positive energy onto the other provinces and CSA as well.
  2. Please people I thought us development people were supposed to be helping ourselves not you guys, what will be left when we take office? I suppose the ANC will ensure we receive some or other kickback.

    Bike jacking

Where is these goods been sold,we cyclists should know better than to buy from pawn shops and the like irrespective of the pricing they offer, one day we will have a life lost for the sake of a bike. The stolen bike market can only grow if we create the demand for such.

    Bike jacking

This is the same spot my two riders were jacked in December not only are they robbing the people at the bus stop in the mornings and evenings they seem to be plying their trade n cyclists as well. The sad part is SAPS are not prepared to patrola nd search the open field behind the swimming pool acrossthe road and has threaten to lock me up if I assault any of the persons who frequent this field. what to do and to think I voted this gov.into power.
  6. Hi Myrace New Horizons still waitingfor a few licenses not delivered to cgc yet since Dec,Please help
  7. You change the rings and sprockets for the race type you doing-different gear ratio's
  8. PLEASE HUBBERS-DO NOT GET PERSONAL OR MENTION DOPERS NAMES ON THIS THREAD LET US KEEP IT CONSTRUCTIVE- My suggestion: CSA adds a drop down page on their website where they set out their stance on doping and a few items on their intentions to ensure we do not carry on in the current manner(3 cases within the past 7 months).Recify their current laws which seems flawed re-handling of doping cases. A rider list of all Pro-Elite riders were they put sifgnature to paper stating their adherence to the anti-doping program. Proposal/Request/Plea or what ever we want to call it. 1: All Pro-Elite riders to sign a pledge as part of their contract with CSA NOT to dope.(This is part of their contract hence it becomes a legal obligation on their part to steer clear. 2: All owners/team managers etc of Pro=Elite teams to do same on behalf of their clubs/teams which would then give them the right to sue said rider for breach of contract if they dope. In so doing they recover part of the investment in said rider and can sue for future loss of earning as well. 3: All Pro-elite teams to sign a pledge not to employ a rider onto their team who was suspended for doping in the last five years thus ridding the peleton of such persons.
  9. More Groot Lem Hopefully you can now get road cycling admin back to where it belongs and dothings for whom it matters, the cyclist. We hope and trust your future input to CSA will be fruitful and well heeded to, at last we have a voice a reason to take care of road cycling issues and who is not scared to speak his mind.
  10. Hi all Well done to CGC staff for been pro-active on this issue. Jill will attend all the CGC events number collections with the database of CGC members who has applied for CSA licenses to alleviate any issues when collecting, Please can everyone who has applied ensure that your club secretary has approved your application and made CGC payments for such as well. Well done CGC.
  11. The nameless attacks again,anybody for M&M's
  12. BigBen I printed the MYRACE confirmations lists for my riders to use whilst waiting for their license arrival at CGC. I am notsure of processes but will contact Mnr COO for clarity via mail
  13. How many of those waiting for license has actually checked with their club admin or provincial bodies whether their licenes has been processed by them. I do a daily check on my club and after the initial problems in December can say I am happy as Jckie notifies as soon as she receives same from Myrace. Remember there a five different options clubs have set-up with Myrace and depending what option your club has and how efficient your admin is will determine your delivery.
  14. What has the two races have in common, both organized by same events management. The longer they keep money in their account the more interest derived for them, it seems the suppliers have same issues as well. IN running you receive payment at event or supply bank details for EFT.why not cycling?
  15. With the development of new biks parks in the Cape and more persons wanting bikes and my favourite brothers flooding you Capies lately this thing will continue, pure greed deal with them decisively. Speak to my brothers on the Cape flats after giving him a bob or two and his tongue will flow. The colour of the thieves has nothing to do with the issue- THEY ARE SCUM
  16. What the hell happening down there Capies, check all the bike parks and get a central database going someone is running a backyard business whilst cleaning out the legal guys, not good.'Time to do the coloured thing-VIGILANTE' LIKE IT OR NOT THAT IS HOW WE DEAL WITH SCUM OF THE EARTH AND YES IT WORKS.
  17. Don't delete post them to expose the guys in the wrong and officials not doing their jobs
  18. I notice the development guys in almost all the elite pics, how did they behave during the race?
  19. Ask him how well has his commission done against his white paper published in December 2007, does he now know where all the development bikes are road and track?
  20. Seems like Colin has vanished last on hub Oct 2007
  21. If this is the case then Colin who is a hubber must come and defend his company.
  22. How many a time don't we hear cries from the Capies about the development riders down there doing the wrong things in races and on training rides, one would think that by now Roger would have one of his commissioners look into this matter and aid these lads as in my opinion that is part of development, besides Charlotte who else is he busy with, has this commission being down to Soweto to help Sam and his youngsters yet, they are also a developmental team what about the youngsters in PTA that needs help?
  23. Why blame Championchip for the seeding update problems? Check if the organziers paid them for the event as yet as this is normally the hold up. If all obligations has been met from the organizers then we have reason to vent our anger at Championchip. Secondly do you know how often cycle events update the system? remember this is a value add we get from cycle events without any payment made.
  24. When you enter races enter the open/seeded bunch not Vets
  25. development within cycling is only but a word. there will never be money for it no matter what Lotto, SASCOC etc gives towards CSA. When last have you had a paper or phone call from Roger informing you about transformation/development, what has the trans/dev commission done since inception under Greg-nothing. Look at the track youngster Bernard Eesterhuizen(Spelling) he done quite well at the youth track champs recently and still no funding to help with his development yet he has loads of talent.Until such time as CSA really become serious about trans/dev we will have no future growth except for those whose parents can help them financially. I was once told by a respected track cyclist to smell the roses as they are not interested in developing anyone other than their own.
