  1. First off, to those that don't know pinkbike - Have a look at some of those sick bikes. They're more focused on bmx/downhill/freeride/dirt jump/(You get the picture) where the hub is obviously more focused on roadie/xc. Anyway check out this thread: http://www.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomments/?threadid=39840&pagenum=1 Those guys are building their own freeride monsters. Awesome
  2. For battery I would think that nimh would be easiest if you look at price/weight/capasity.
  3. I don't understand how it's locked when you put weight on it, but it compresses when you brake? Surely you use more force when you put weight on it? Or let's wait to see what fork
  4. Did the guy deserve it? Maybe But that's not up to bakkies. I know the players get frustrated when the ref makes mistakes, but what's the end result: It probably cost us the game, bakkies may be banned for a few weeks and the rest of the world see the bokke as playing dirty and all the other reffs will be on the lookout for us next time As I said, what a tjop
  5. Geel kaart ja. Bakkies, make way for Stormers se slot. The one and only...Andries Bekker. Bakkies is 'n TJOP. To think that with today's camera's you still headbud someone.
  6. Sorry bro. I just told him that I find it very boring doing any type of excersice from home and find it easier to go to the gym, but if you haven't got a choice then his setup is quite nice. That poste probably says: "You can get off the trainer when you reach this wall"
  7. Ek sukkel nogsteeds te veel by die huis. HEt al probeer weight training, IDT(Met HOUSE, how i met your mother etc) maar dit bly boring. By die gym kan ek darm langer uithou. Maar as jy nie 'n keuse het nie... Man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. O ja, nice setup
  8. Where you going in thailand? If you're into electronics then there are some nice places in bangkok, like MBK(shopping centre). You can also go out of town towards the temples and do some nice riding between plantations. In Phuket, you can probably ride around the whole island. But I'd rather lay on the beach whole day and at night you wanna go to Bangla road for some serious partying. Their nightlife is the best
  9. If you're not carefull, she might be riding you. Don't recall Thailand having a big cycling scene. Lots of bicycles, but more commuters. Then you have to get it shipped here etc. If you do your homework you won't be scammed. Just ask other guys from who they bought their bikes
  10. Well the filing took 5sec. Used one of those electric grinder things. Didn't have a clue at that moment if it would affect anything
  11. I havn't found any road clusters with more than 30T cogs. I believe it is possible to fit a mtb cluster to a roadie hub, but someone has to confirm this. Don't know if rear derailleur will work with bigger cogs, but you will need a longer chain, unless you shift "smartly" during the race.
  12. MTB would be a shlep to change tyres the whole time. You could get indoor trainer with extra cheap rear wheel. If I were you I'd get IDT with cheap roadbike. Then you can still ride the roadbike sometimes if you're not riding offroad.
  13. Here's where the misfit took place before grinding it down. I would have bought campag, but the bikeshop told me there's no difference and being my first time replacing roadie cables I believed them. Should probably give them a call to let them know
  14. Will remember if I have problems thanks. Havn't taken it for a test ride
  15. If you, like a certain bikeshop, thought that they are the same then you'd be wrong. See the pics for difference. The campag brake cable's lead thingy at the one end is smaller. There is also a very slight difference in the housing diameter. If you run campag, but can only find shimano brake cable, then you can just file down the lead part to fit in the ergo levers.
  16. 3. Voice command guiding using GPRS - DO you mean using GPS?
  17. Nuff said.
  18. Did someone say SRAM's 1:1 actuation, or gripshifts or the first official 10x2 or ... Ok bye
  19. Contracts As for number 3, and the world cup tickets - I would really love to know. I am not getting into an argument with you guys. I was just stating facts that not everyone knows about. It's not like I'm happy about the price increases. I pay just as much as you
  20. Cranck, actually you are correct and I am probably not the best person to answer your question, but I'll try my best. On Eskom's side, better planning should have taken place, but: 1. Since basically 2000 we have been asking for more price increases, but NERSA did not give this to us. (For example, we ask for 5% and NERSA gives 3%. Next year we need 10% but NERSA gives 5% etc) 2. Then there is BEE, apartheid, first being state owned and now a company etc that caused a whole lot of other isues. 3. All the blackouts from a while ago was a serious of unfortunate events, which caused us to run the gas stations which is run at a loss. Those things burn through diesel like crazy and cost us a lot of money. Unlike a restuarant, if we have a crisis we can't tell the public that we can only accomonadate x amount of customers. We have to expand no matter what. This is some of the reasons I can think about. We are to blame to some extend, but not all is our fault.
  21. I've got it. Bigger wheel can hold more chain links and allow him to ride big chainring big cog combination. What a noob
  22. now 730
  23. My appolagies to djvr. Eskom has been called so many names that I thought excom was one of them. Didn't realise you're talking about the execs. I'm on leave, so I'm not up to date with the news. This is outrageous. I'm with you on this. If someone really cares for his bussiness, then in difficult times they shouldn't take such bonusses.
  24. Ag come on. Get real for a minute please. Do you really have all the facts to make such a statement. I work for Eskom and I know a thing or two about our finances. Do you have any idea how much it costs to build a powerstation? We are building two at the moment, if you didn't know. The increase is surely not to make the bosses rich. It's not even high enough to get us out of the clear. That's why we took a loan from the world bank, and do you really think they would loan us such a high amount if they thought that we're wasting money? It's easy for everyone to blame Eskom.
  25. Was thinking of the floating thing. Will give it a try thanks. I have tried the spinning bike, but it hurts a bit, so I've stopped. Maybe I can try without any resistance.
